Joe Biden immediately attacked law-abiding gun owners and used the debunked claim that the 2nd Amendment banned cannon ownership.
“There’s no Amendment that’s absolute,” Biden said on Thursday, attacking the 2nd Amendment.

When my dad was in Korea during the war he took photos of a 280mm howitzer. Troops grabbed his camera and took out his film. His assistant also took pictures; but, the guards didn't pay him any attention because he wasn't an officer. They learned later that it was an "atomic cannon" with nuclear ordnance on site.
How are you going to react when someone bans you from voting because they don’t like the way you vote?
Thank you.
Lycoming College, near me, has a cannon at every home football game.
A volley is fired for every touchdown made by the home team.
We have some friends who are in a reenactment group who own a cannon like this one in the photo. Also, my dad has a small cannon he built many many years ago. Even my dad’s small cannon makes a BIG BOOM! haha I guess it’s a good thing Slow Joe Biden doesn’t know about those cannons?
Absolutely. And Ohio River flatboats were armed with swivel guns. And private western forts like Bent’s Fort and Fort Bridger had cannon. And private citizens had access to superior personal weapons than were found in the military almost till WW1. The drovers on a cattle drivewere better armed than a platoon of Cavalry. In the early 20th Century private citizens owned semi auto weapons like the Remington Model 8, firing a cartridge comparable to that fired by the Ruger Mini .30.
Let’s Go Brandon.
Now. Replace that spud with a 16oz soda bottle full of water.
Saw YT video of guys doing that — punching gaping holes in 3/4” plywood.
I was reading the info on one I found on eBay. It stated ‘not intended to shoot projectiles’, just for making noise. But I have to wonder if it’s not built safe for that or if it’s a liability thing they have to say. I am also wondering if you can still find load data on these canon. I imagine it would be quite fun and expensive to work up loads and figure out range and ballistics for all the charge and shooting elevation angle combinations.
Unless there’s actually a fire.
“ Biden on the Second Amendment: “When the amendment was passed ... you couldn’t buy a cannon ... and so there’s no reason why you should be able to buy certain assault weapons.”
Well then why can’t we buy a cannon now? Sounds like it’s a slippery slope by the way he’s talking.

One of the big after- dinner entertainments at my granddaughter’s house on Thanksgiving is the firing of the potato cannon.
Right after that, target practice and sighting in of weapons for deer hunting.
Then some huge fireworks.
This is rural Pennsylvania.
OK, Joe, come and take it! (Gonzales Flag.)
“About 30 years ago, I was doing some work at an oil refinery in the Beaumont Port Arthur, Texas area”
Hometown of The Pearl, Janice Joplin...just for information’s sake.

Google it. There are plenty for sale. Black powder ones. You can make one also.
I want one. Loaded with grape shot. Keep the driveway clear.
I would think the 2nd Amendment directly applies to cannon ownership given that the Red Coats were going for exactly that at Concord and Lexington in 1775.
Yes I believe they can fire just powder. That’s called a salute and I’ve seen it done at local tall ship festivals.
I have no idea about the laws. I didn’t even stay at a Holiday Inn last night.
Biden is either incredibly ignorant or a bald-faced liar. Letters of Marque and Reprisal were granted to ship owners to destroy or capture British ships (including warships) in both the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812; they ALL owned multiple cannon, and wouldn’t have gotten the Letters without owning them.
Not that the 2nd Amendment references “arms” and is absolutely NOT restricted (as to government action) to only firearms.
