MSNBC’s Johnson: Trump Is Such a ‘Direct Danger to American Democracy’ — He ‘Has to Be Jailed’
breitbart ^ | 2 Feb 2022 | PAM KEY

Posted on 02/03/2022 3:45:57 AM PST by MarvinStinson

MSNBC contributor Jason Johnson said Wednesday on “Deadline” that former President Donald Trump was such a “direct danger to American democracy” he had to be “jailed.”

Johnson said, “I’m teaching a media literacy class to my students at Morgan State University. The level of cynicism that young people have towards the media, and then you mix that with old folks or older folks who have decided that there’s only one place they want to listen to, it’s hard for anyone to be an arbiter of truth, justice and common sense at this particular point. That’s one of the reasons why I have concerns as to whether or not the January 6 committee can be effective in presenting their case to the American public.”

He continued, “We know there are 30% of the population that doesn’t care. They don’t care what the facts are. They just want Donald Trump in office. At this point, I don’t care if he’s found guilty of treason if he’s found guilty for violating records. I don’t care if they find he has a Blockbuster VHS tape from 1998 that he never returned and owes $100 million and has to go to jail. I don’t care. The fact of the matter is the guy has been so obvious about being a direct danger to American democracy that he has to be jailed. He has to be punished.”

Interestingly, he complains that his students have a high level of cynicism towards the media. Maybe they’re more literate than we think.

“He has to be jailed. He has to be punished”

He has already been punished by having an election stolen from him. Direct danger? His political power has been taken away and he can’t even use Twitter.

As others have said the left is obsessed with Trump because of us. We are the threat not Trump.

Trump is the last bastion for the preservation of true democracy we have left. Folks like this blogger here want mob rule and censorship. Hes happy because the man who cheated actually won and hes willing to look past it and then. like the stereotypical leftist ..projects.

I hope Trump is a direct danger to your democracy. “Your democracy” is the democrat party. It stinks on ice. It has to go. Lock up Trump and people will come for you.

This would be laughable if it wasn’t so dangerous. He hasn’t been in office for over a year; many I wish my rent payments were that low.

A professor of journalism who can’t use coherent English needs to reconsider his career path.

“He has to be jailed. He has to be punished”

The gentleman should devote less time to journalism and more time to history. I promise him it won’t take long to find examples of governance that have led to tyranny, poverty, suffering and death. Those examples will be socialism and communism. Hell, if he took serious interest in history he would learn much about his leftist party that would enrage him.

The only thing Trump was guilty of is great success leading our country.

MSNBC Contributor Jason Johnson ‘No Longer Employed’ At The Root

JOHNSON HAS FACED BACKLASH SINCE HIS CONTROVERSIAL COMMENT LAST MONTH THAT BLACK WOMEN WORKING ON SEN. BERNIE SANDERS’S CAMPAIGN ARE FROM THE “ISLAND OF MISFIT BLACK GIRLS.”

MSNBC Contributor Jason Johnson Out At The Root After ‘Misfit Black Girls’ Comments About Sanders’s Campaign Staff

https://www.essence.com/news/politics/jason-johnson-the-root-misfit-black-girls-msnbc/
BY ESSENCE STAFF · NOVEMBER 4, 2020

Political analyst Jason Johnson is no longer employed at African American digital platform The Root, where he served as a contributing political editor, after his controversial comment that Black women working on Sen. Bernie Sanders’s campaign are from the “Island of Misfit Black Girls,” the Daily Beast reports.

Johnson made the comments when he was a guest on Sirius FM’s Karen Hunter Show last month. While he made it clear that he was not speaking about Nina Turner, national co-chair for Sanders’s campaign and former Ohio State Senator, he admitted that he was referring to Briahna Joy Gray, the campaign’s national press secretary.

Critics called out the MSNBC contributor for his arguably misgynoirist statements, with some starting the hashtag #FireJasonJohnson, which quickly went viral. The cable network acted swiftly, suspending Johnson in the wake of the escalating pushback on social media.

And Johnson’s apology last month was not enough.

According to the Daily Beast, Johnson, who is also an associate professor of politics and journalism in Morgan State University’s School of Global Journalism & Communication, “made 40 on-air appearances in the first two months of 2020, including post-game coverage of the several Democratic primary debates and votes.”

Though Johnson has not issued a statement, he has removed his affiliation with The Root from his Twitter profile.

I wonder what his reaction would be if a conservative suggested that those in media Not supporting Trump be jailed?

Makes about as much sense.

Trump’s thoughts about how to properly run the USA are MILD compared to mine.

I would bet that I am NOT ALONE in those thoughts, either.
