Starbucks on Tuesday announced that it will be increasing the prices of its products in 2022, citing rising inflation, supply chain disruptions and increasing labor costs, according to a statement by the company.
The coffee giant missed its projected quarterly profit as the highly contagious omicron variant of COVID-19 swept across the globe, causing increased labor shortages and further coronavirus-related restrictions, particularly in China, Starbucks' fastest-growing market.
The move marks the second time in just four months that the company has hiked prices, having also increased menu item costs in October, reports The New York Times — and more price increases are on the way this year, according to Starbucks executives.

They could give it away for free, and I wouldn’t go there.
Doesn’t affect me one bit.
Starbucks drinkers are true believers. Lousy coffee and high cost are signs of virtue to them.
Never liked coffee so zero meaning to me.
Yeah, just how much would people want to pay for coffee? I say, “Find out”.
Oh, so the cost of raising the minimum wage is actually passed on to the consumer. Who knew.
Sugar in excess causes cancer
Always amazing to me how places like Starbucks and Krispy Kreme never faced class-action lawsuits for ruining peoples’ health
Did you know a “venti” -sized latte has 1/4 pound of sugar in it?
A freaking quarter-pound of that poison!!!
A Starbucks in an upscale grocery near me has been getting $2.65 (incl tax) for at least a year. That’s 12 oz black. Two years ago it was $1.90.
It was already overpriced
We roast our own green beans. Watching those prices increase too. Stocked up on green beans last year. Longer shelf life before roasted. Delicious fresh roasted too.
I’d rather chew on raw coffee beans than buy coffee from Fartbucks.
I’ll get Starbucks coffee when on the road, traveling and there are not many other options. It is a step above gas station coffee.

If you are not near QT, RaceTrac, Sheets, WaWa, etc. then you are missing out on far better road options.
RaceTrac and many Circle K’s have gone to an on-demand grind and brew system that is very good and reasonably priced.
I make my own in a coffeemaker and pocket the savings..
Greedy corporation! Jen Psackychit has assured us that prices do not need to rise when costs do.
We roast ours too. Our son has a big commercial roaster and had fantasies of selling it to a local bakery. I don’t think that came through so he had lots of green beans. He gave us about 10 pounds, maybe more. So good. How do you grind them?
