This is your "the sky is falling" cohort. They fear everything, and will pretty much do anything government tells them to do. It's true in the US, too, and I suspect it's worse in European countries. In no way should we be voting for anyone in this cohort. (I say that as a citizen of a state that has a governor in this cohort, and we want to get rid of her. Tyrant.)

That in my opinion is the overarching objective and it would be a huge disappointment if ‘covid restrictions’ are lifted but none of the other surveillance state tactics.
