The U.S. Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Department of Labor announced that 20,000 H-2B visas will become available Friday, after exhausting the 33,000 visas set aside for the first half of the year before it even began.
Citing record job growth, the agencies made the additional visas that were first announced in December available for domestic employers that are facing down or already experiencing irreparable harm if they can't secure additional temporary nonagricultural workers before March 31. The government also set aside 6,500 of the newly added visas for migrants from the so-called Northern Triangle countries El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, as well as Haiti
*** The Immigration and Nationality Act sets a yearly cap on H-2B visas at 66,000 in total, typically split between the first and second halves of the fiscal year, but Congress has handed DHS and DOL authority to issue supplementary visas under the program if necessary.
*** And the decision to reserve spots for workers from the Northern Triangle Countries and Haiti mimics a carveout inked in previous iterations after President Joseph Biden ordered DHS and the State Department in February to enhance opportunities for Northern Triangle citizens to access visa programs. The reserved H-2B visas for Northern Triangle countries is a part of these efforts, according to the announcement.
*** DHS noted in the announcement that the set aside for Haiti is intended as a counter to recent challenges facing the nation including political instability, increased gang-related violence and the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that hit Haiti in August. Haiti was only just added to the list of countries eligible for H-2A and H-2B visas in November.

So Marketwatch is a bit leftwing and that causes problems here.
But they had this article today:
Which proves that indeed, that’s what the H1-B scam is about: driving down American wages.
Treason.
Fixed it.
They forgot to insert:
"Employers enjoyed the renewed luxury of unzipping themselves and urinating on their American employees."

What labor shortage? The left complains that there are no job opportunities for certain minorities, but doesn’t really want them to ever get a job because then they would get off the dole. Trump bought back jobs for minorities and the left went crazy - they created a health crisis that gave them cover for closing millions of businesses.
Uh-oh, IT wages going up (in real terms, they’ve actually gone down over the last 20 years, I was lucky to keep my head barely afloat).
The Uniparty has pulled the safety relief valve.
From the government website:
“Employing H-2B workers will not adversely affect the wages and working conditions of similarly employed U.S. workers”
Any moron can see that it always will in the collective.
How about no. There is no labor shortage, only wages shortages.
Aren’t they still paying people to stay home? I don’t believe for one minute there is a labor shortage. There is, however, an abundance of sorry lazy people in this country.
