Cape is seeing gusts to 55 mph now. Going to be a tough day for the seawalls and loss of sand.

Can we call it winter storm Ken for short?
Or is that not woke enough?
Retards.
I’m 78...Ah...Forts and Snowball wars!! Those were the days!!
From Maine
The snow is just starting here (so. Maine) and its blowing in sheets and going sideways, as the wind is starting to pick up a lot.
It’s January
It’s New England
It’s snowing
Okay.
It has never moved more than a couple of inches in a storm before and it’s only just begun!
It’s just starting....and there’s people who will likely be without power as this thing grows in intensity. I lived in New England.
I grew up in Buffalo. That is nothing.
I was hoping they would have named it Karen—to honor the sociopaths in our midst.
;-)
Orleans, Cape Cod! Main Street area of Orleans just lost power.
Right; same here in northeastern NJ. Fake news is calling this historic, but it isn’t even close.
The news sector has become so competitive these jackasses use this panic porn/alarmism for everything now; last night it was “75 MILLION PEOPLE IN PATH OF STORM”; a few days ago as cold came down from Canada: “MORE THAN 100 MILLION PEOPLE IN FREEZING TEMPERATURES”. It is absurd and tiresome; we used to call this “winter” or “January”.
When you see the commercials for the “news” networks themselves, they play fast-paced music with scenes of storms and sirens in the background; who wants to watch that? The internet truly made TV news obsolete.
A foot of snow in January in the North East is now news?
Historic was the 2 feet plus in the 90’s in your area.
It’s the the depth of snow...it’s the blizzard conditions.
There are several tasks/errands I can easily procrastinate about today.
I feel, however, that since it's Saturday - and I am
procrastinating about non-fun tasks anyway - that now is the
time to break out the waffle iron (first time this new year),
and make some home-made blueberry waffles.
Who votes YES on the waffles? All votes count (HERE anyway).
(No waffling on this waffle decision, now...)
