I’m one of those weird old conservatives that thinks that character matters.

Amazing how they seem to think that is a qualifier yet its nowhere in our constitution. I’m amazed they passed the class.

It certainly helps to know how things work in a particular field.
The ability to spout off isn’t exactly a qualification.
I’d like to see Trump Sr. run again; and if that’s not in the cards, I’d happily vote for DeSantis.

He has every right, of course. But I don’t think he could be elected.

Don Jr. is a good man but all things considered, DeSantis is the best choice at this time.

If you vote for character, then I must assume you didn’t vote for Donald Trump

Prior to January 2017, neither did his father.

What was wrong with Trump’s character?

Don Jr. is full of piss and vinegar, just like his old man.
I’ve been impressed by him since the 2016 campaign.
I’ve never heard him express a desire to run for president, however. At least not in public.

I like Trump Jr. If he was the VP choice you can be pretty sure he would not stab his dad in the back. Just watching leftist heads exploding from that choice alone would make it worth it.

Just stop! That would be a NO!

Don Jr is very impressive, older than Desantis and has vast business experience.
I don't live in FL, so I don't have a dog in this fight. But if I did, I'd probably go with DeSantis. He has a track record as governor, and it's a good one.
To: proust
I don’t like Don Jr. because of his facial hair. I promise. Call me shallow, I just don’t get the attraction. It’s a put-on.

Anyone else sense that they’re trying to turn us (conservatives) against one another because they have nothing else to run on? Some idiots here are actually taking the bait and chomping on it.
To: JoSixChip
A few weeks ago, on Steve Bannon’s “war room,” the crawl coming across the screen said Don Jr. and Kimberly are engaged.

His wife posed nude. That should be a big no no in your old time conservative thinking

I guess it depends on what you mean by ‘character’.
Trump is a man who gives his word and stands by it. He’s not afraid to stick his neck out and do what needs to be done, despite what the ‘common knowledge’ with which he’s besieged dictates. He knows how to work to get things done, and I can’t recall a time when he didn’t put America First.
I don’t really want much more than that...
