White House press secretary Jen Psaki declined to comment on details behind the retirement of Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer during a press conference Thursday. Asked when the president was made aware of Breyer's decision to retire, Psaki said only that the administration had no influence over his choice. "This was Justice Breyer's decision to make, on his own timeline and through his own conditions he determined," Psaki said of Breyer's retirement.

Heh. The worst scenario for Biden, getting surprised with a question involved something he should know but has forgotten.
A friend told me how he discovered his mother had Alzheimer’s. His father passed away at home, and the son rushed there that day to take care of things. His Mother participated as one would expect. Another brother was present also. They all went to bed that night. The next morning the brothers were up early having coffee when Mom walked into the kitchen and said, “Where’s Dad?”
Biden’s people live in fear of that kind of thing happening to him in public.
Of course, if your only work friends were Elena Kagan and Sonya Sotomayor, retirement would seem quite attractive.

No doubt, Breyer felt the political arm-twisting by the democrats to get the eff out.
Regardless, we have a resident of the White House who is mentally declining and is doing so many things wrong that, about 70% of the American people disapprove of him and the majority would not vote for him if he were to run again...
So, with that background and he having done so much to hurt America and hasn’t gone much right...
Should he be allowed to nominate the next SCOTUS candidate? That’s a position which could be occupied by the Biden nominee for 20-30 or more years. That’s big, and Biden should not be the one doing it.
It was probably recently, after his stupid showing on the vaccine case.
He was made to look so stupid, it’d be hard for a liberal to handle.
Breyer wants to be replaced by a liberal and has been in on the timing from the get-go. He delayed his retirement to make it work for the Democrats and I highly doubt he had forced into it. This is what Breyer wants as well as the Democrats.
Kavanaugh, Gorsuch and Barrett haven’t been all that Conservative, have they?

I think she meant to tell him after the news conference.
Psaki is remarkably good at not answering questions. Whether deflecting, lying, dissembling, triangulating, she’s madtered them all. “It’s not the same thing.”
Amateurs. She’s supposed to use the Ol’ Obama line: “I heard about it on CNN, just like you!”
It’s very sad. Have known several people whose parents had this dreadful confusion of the mind.
