The mission involved Russia's Su-34 and Su-35 aircraft and the A-50 early warning and control aircraft, as well as Syria's MIG-23 and MIG-29 planes
MOSCOW, January 24./TASS/.Russian and Syrian military pilots have conducted a joint air patrol mission along the Golan Heights and the Euphrates River, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
"The mission's route ran along the Golan Heights, the southern border, the Euphrates River and over northern Syria," the statement reads. "Russian pilots took off from the Hmeymim Air Base, while Syrians took off from the Seikal and Dumayr airfields outside Damascus," the ministry added...

Israel launches frequent strikes on Syria from the Golan region using its aircraft. Last week Russia announced military police patrols in Latakia following a recent Israeli strike in the port.
Of course there's the Euphrates River line to the east where this patrol was also conducted.
On that side of Syria the US military still based in Syria still extracting oil from that region.
I find this comical. These pilots know not to mess with the IAF.
Ping.
I look forward to updated air-to-air kill ratios for these aircraft on MigFlug.

Instead of just CAP, they are now flying C3 aircraft.
I’m sure the Israelis have their version as well.
ICYMI, C3 = aircraft liike the C8, E2c e3.
Israel works closely with Russia, and Assad knows to surreptitiously cooperate with Israel against Iranian proxies. It’s a weird part of the world.
Israel is on pretty good terms with Russia. I think this is a “force projection” by the Russians, in effect saying: “We are strong! We can conduct military operations throughout the world! Give us Ukraine and we’ll not seek any other conquests! (Until we do!)”
Let’s Go Brandon!
The Russians won’t mess with the IAF. Thry cooperate quite well and there’s no possible gain for Russia to change this.
The Syrians however need close watching …
IAF is constantly flying overhead along the Jordan Valley, might as well be right above where I live, it’s just a few clicks East.
Given the Bears apparently lacked ATA missiles, I’d agree.
“Give us Ukraine and we’ll not seek any other conquests! (Until we do!)”
