If they view a prosperous economy as a "threat," it follows that their goal is to reduce our standard of living: no cars, no single-family homes, no refrigerators, no beef, and whatever else they decide we don't need. They are building their future right where I am, a mile north of Seattle. Single-family homes are being torn down and replaced with high-density apartments near transportation lines.

City officials are deliberately allowing the erosion of single-family neighborhoods near those transportation corridors by allowing the homeless to degrade the area. Families will leave, corporations will buy their houses and use them as rooming houses until enough contiguous homes are bought. It will be downzoned, and the homes will be torn down. The plan is obvious.
