Black Mississippi lawmakers walk out of Senate in protest of critical race theory ban

All 14 of Mississippi’s black, Democratic state senators refused to vote on a bill banning the teaching of critical race theory in the state’s public schools, walking out in protest instead.

“This bill is not morally right,” Democratic Sen. Barbara Blackmon of Canton said during the debate ahead of the Friday vote before joining the walkout.

Senate Bill 2113 passed 32-2 in the GOP-controlled chamber, with the only votes against it coming from two white Democrats. It will move to the state’s lower House, which is also controlled by Republicans, for review.

Sorry Barbra,

The ban is entirely moral and entirely correct.

CRT racism is not welcome.

Hopefully they will walk out more often.

Good things appear to happen when they do.

Black racists want to blame Whitey for everything
MLK is spinning in his grave, he would have been
speaking out for brotherhood not race hustling.

I thought lawyers were smart. They are clinging to mandatory dumbing down and a return to racial segregation.
What is so hard to see or to admit about that?
Some people won’t ever openly admit that another member of their race is capable of saying or doing something stupid.

I always thought that their main come-back was "CRT isn't what you think it is / doesn't actually exist / isn't being taught here anyway."

Works for me!

Lawmakers = politicians

Not necessarily “lawyers”

So let me see if I get this.

They are objecting to banning teaching that any one race is superior to another.

So the options are that they object to someone teaching that whites are superior to blacks, which is understandable.

OR……

They are objecting to the teaching that blacks are superior to whites. And I don’t see that happening.

So basically, they want it taught that blacks are superior to whites, but they would object to it if the teaching were that whites are superior to blacks.

Got it.

So, 14 African American State Senators are for anti-white racism to be taught in the schools??

14 Morons I'd say, or worse.

Oh, and the other 2 Dem State Senators; Morons Too.

Oh, and that accounts for ALL the Dem State Senators, what does that say about their party?

pretty bad look given that a majority of black voters oppose and are offended by CRT

This is weird considering that the liberals I know keep insisting CRT isn’t taught in schools and it is all just a conspiracy theory that there is such a thing.

“I always thought that their main come-back was “CRT isn’t what you think it is / doesn’t actually exist / isn’t being taught here anyway.”

Correct, they say it started in high academe and stayed there. People bitching about it these days are doing it just to get publicity for themselves, similar to those who claim we never walked on the moon or those who claim that electric cars are the next coming of Jesus.

But the problem is that they’re very easy to out...just pass a law making it illegal and see how they respond. If they quietly vote against it, maybe saying it’s a waste of time, fine, and maybe it doesn’t exist. But if they scream and squeal (and leave town), then there is MUCH MORE going on, and they are LYING when they deny it.

Africa Americans. That term signals to me that Africa is first and America is second, whether it is their thinking or terminology.
