More than half of Americans view right-wing militia groups as a threat to the U.S., with a third saying they pose an "immediate and serious threat" to the country, according to a poll from The Economist/YouGov.

The poll was taken following the first anniversary of the Jan. 6 insurrection, when Trump supporters stormed the Capitol in an effort to prevent Congress from certifying the results of the 2020 election.

Members of known right-wing extremist groups including the Oath Keepers, the Proud Boys and the Three-Percenters, have been charged in connection with the attack.

US code REQUIRES all able-bodied men to be in the unorganized militia… (which is OBVIOUSLY not the National Guard.) I suggest Zip Codes to start. Every Zip Code should have a bi-monthly muster and a yearly jamboree. Want to put Washington on its heels? That would do it… LEGALLY.

I'll never forget when in Phoenix, AZ J.T. Ready tried to form a white nationalist militia unit to patrol the border. He managed to recruit 5 people, but I think two of them weren't white, which kind of spoiled his narrative.

The local liberal TV news was there to film their foray into the desert, however I have doubts he was able to get anyone to go with him a second time.

Later J.T. Ready ran for Sheriff but killed his family and himself before the election.
