The U.S. has given approval for three Baltic NATO members to send American-made weapons to Ukraine, U.S. officials said.

The decision will enable Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia to send Javelin antitank weapons and Stinger air-defense systems for Ukraine’s forces.

The Biden administration has also notified Congress that it intends to provide Ukraine with five Mi-17 transport helicopters, U.S. officials said. The Russian-made helicopters had been intended for Afghanistan’s military and were being repaired in Ukraine.

If I were king, I’d have the baltic states start surrounding Kalingrad.

Maybe we need to stop getting involved in trying to save Europe.

Russia has no right to determine which country should or should not be a buffer. Russia had no right whatsoever to attack Ukraine. Russia is an aggressor here. Will you please ask Russia’s neighbors why they don’t trust Russia? It’s because Russia hasn’t abandoned its imperialist ways (Tsarist and later Bolshevik).

Putin is an old Commie who says Stalin was a good guy, not a murderous maniac he really was. A real Christian would never say that.

Why does the US have a say what another country does?

Both of us are corrupt. But we are more corrupt at a higher financial and lower moral level.

If Ukraine has the military and financial wherewithal to resist Russia then good for them. If not, then why should we give them any aid, especially if it will not be enough to hold back the Russian army?

We were unable to make Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria or Libya safe for Democracy. Why should we believe that we can make Ukraine safe from Russian influence?

What did Russia/the Soviets EVER do for us when we could have used their cooperation? Intelligence on the Tarnov brothers? Perhaps. Carter cancelled the Neutron bomb. Give it to Ukraine.

What? Moral equivalence between a constitutional republic that has been anti-imperialist throughout its history and an empire whose subjects can only dream about liberty? Yes, I realize that the American republic could be in a better condition... Still, people in Russia have never been free. Such a regime has questionable legitimacy. Why should Russia’s neighbors be at the mercy of their former oppressor?

We should not be allowing any weapons, money, or troops to get involved. It’s not our problem, and it would be much easier if we just allowed Russia to annex the ethnic Russian portion of the Ukraine, personally who cares if they take it all over again

Seeing all the neocons wanting to follow their pal Biden into war reminds me of the old Bushbot loving days here, rooting for wars in the middle east.

Give Calif to the Mexicans? Even the Mexicans in Baja would prefer we annex them.

Sorry you are wrong. I support Biden’s position here. We do not fight the Russians. BUT we arm the Ukrainians who want to fight the Russians.

A BIG difference with the Bush days.

Maybe because they were invaded and lost 27 million people from that direction 75 years ago?

How’s that? Are they our economic competitor? Are they our ideological foe? Their oligarchs want to vacation in France, educate their kids at Harvards and Princetons, the whole country wants to live either in the West, or like in the West. Do they need our resources? Hell no, they have so much of that that they sell everything to the world. Do they need our territory? Just look at the map, they don’t know what to do with theirs!

Bigger threat than China and Islam? You are out of you mind, sir..

Russian troops are occupying parts of Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia.

They aren’t just vacationing in France.
