actually provoking war with Russia (and China, and protecting the Iranian nuclear bomb buildup so the crazy mullah dictators can carry out their threat to eliminate USA with them)

it will take a miracle
for us to survive 3 more years of this krap

We have the Monroe Doctrine. Why can’t Russia have the Putin Doctrine?

“U.S. Allows Baltic NATO Members to Send Arms to Ukraine (Stinger missiles!!!)”

As usual, misinformation. The US didn’t allow the arms to be sent, they voted with enough in NATO for it to happen. NATO allowed it to happen. If the US was the only country whose vote meant anything, then why spend the money for office space when it could be done with a fax or a telephone call? And I can promise you the secretary of defense with the secretary of state, and whoever tells the POTUS what to do would be writing the script to be used. Nothing unusual there except the WSJ wanting to sensationalize their material with lies.

You mean the Monroe Doctrine that hasn’t existed since the communist revolution in Cuba in 1959? Gone for 63 years.

Putin wants to relitigate the ending of the Cold War. It will end badly for him just as it ended badly for the USSR.

Russia could be one of our greatest allies, especially since they're one of the few countries at least nominally returning to their Christian heritage.

Absolutely!

Since the fall of communism in the old Soviet Union, we have far more in common with Russia than with any Islamic entity, or the Chinese atheists.

I absolutely agree with you .
The Obama/ Biden administration’s have been complete disasters, regarding Ukraine .

I grew up doing duck & cover drills in school at USAF SAC bases. Nothing is worth returning to the degree of fear.
On too of which we now have a technologically advanced PRC.

Russia and Ukraine need to work their problems out peacefully. We should NOT get involved .

“We all miss the Cold War days. Seek help.”

I don’t miss the Cold War days. Well, to be honest, I do miss one thing. Ronald Wilson Reagan being president.

Why do we care more about Ukraine’s border than our own?

Lenin still lies in state in his Masoleum in Moscow, the rehabilitation of Stalin continues, and Russia and other Soviet republics hold massive Soviet throwback parades every year with Soviet symbology and songs. Also, Putin compared Communism to Christanity, and said that Communism is a natural offshoot of Christanity. He also said that the collapse of the Soviet Union was the greatest geopolitical disaster, then turned around and said it was a “reorganization”.

Kind of like giving mace to a cop that has to patrol the housing projects.

Lol...don’t give the Ukies anything you don’t want the Russians to end up with, or sold on the black market.

Thanks for the article info.

Poland hate the Russians. They will be key in provided weapons and a safe haven to Ukrainian partisans.

From the article:

“Both Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III and Gen. Mark A. Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, have warned their Russian counterparts in recent telephone calls that any swift Russian victory in Ukraine would probably be followed by a bloody insurgency similar to the one that drove the Soviet Union from Afghanistan. In discussions with allies, senior Biden officials have also made clear that the C.I.A. (covertly) and the Pentagon (overtly) would both seek to help any Ukrainian insurgency.”

I don’t think I can agree. I AM strongly anti-Putin, but Russia’s economy is weak. Oil is the only thing they can export. They don’t have enough money to modernize their military. Their weapon systems are 20 years behind the West. For example, they still can’t mass-produce AESA radars for their fighter jets.

China, on the other hand, seems to be getting stronger.

Russia wouldn’t be able to defeat an enemy of the size of Poland who systematically builds its military and is equipped with the most advanced Western weapon systems without using nuclear weapons.

Unfortunately, Ukraine’s military is equipped with outdated weapons. Their air defense is especially weak.

There are no US troops with missiles in Ukraine. The US sold Ukraine several hundreds of Javelin anti-tank missiles.

I think they do it soon. The whole point of the meeting between Putin & Biden was to seal a deal. Red lines were drawn (Dneiper) and Ukraine will fight alone for as long as they can. Don’t underestimate the possibility that the Russian Army screws up operationally and gets stuck in Ukraines forward defense line.

It is Russia who behaves as if the Cold War never ended. You should ask Russia’s neighbors why they don’t trust Russia.
