Following the Public Health Agency of Canada’s announcement that foreign truck drivers can only enter Canada if fully vaccinated starting Jan. 15, and the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) announced similar requirements starting Jan. 22 for non-U.S. national truckers crossing into the United States, thousands of truckers decided to protest against the vaccine mandates, threatening to go on strike and “strategically” paralyze multiple roads.
Canadian truckers, along with concerned citizens all over the country, decided to take action and plan to drive toward the Canadian Parliament with the intention of “shut[ing] down the country until they dissolve parliament and call an election,” according to one of the top organizers of the protest, Patty Ezery.
A similar action took place on Jan. 17 when a convoy of truckers protested against the mandates in Emerson, Manitoba, near the U.S.-Canada border.
U.S. truckers began to organize their own resistance on Tuesday. The Epoch Times is following the story and will be reporting on the developments.
Ezery is a business owner in Nova Scotia and the founder of Atlantic Freedom Fighters.
“Through this pandemic, I’ve watched our government slowly destroy our economy, mental health, and the future stability of this country,” Ezery told The Epoch Times.
“Mandates that they continue to illegally impose on the people have done far greater damage than the pandemic itself. The Canadian government continues to use phrases and words to the Canadian people through the media that incite hate toward people who have decided to utilize their right to say no to a vaccine. And as a result, hate crimes against the unvaccinated are beginning to take place. What do we do to stop this when it’s our leaders that are doing it? The Canadian people have had enough. At first, we were complacent. But look where complacency got us. It’s time for us to stand up and protect what our country stands for: freedom. We are the ‘true north, strong and free’ and the people of Canada are ready to protect that.
“[A U.S. organizer] is going to create a movement called ‘Nations Unite For Freedom’ where Canada and The United States join each other to help each other,” Ezery said, unable to hold in her emotion. “We hope by doing this that other nations are going to follow the lead and join each other.
“Thousands and thousands of vehicles,” truckers and regular vehicles will be convoying from “every corner of the nation” to the capital beginning on Jan. 23, and each state or province’s protestors will leave at a specific time to reach the capital on Jan. 28. According to Ezery, there are already at least 2,000 trucks involved that started the drive to Ottawa before the designated commencement date.
“They will leave their province in the convoy on a specific date between the 23rd and the 28th. It is strategically being planned so that all convoys from across the nation arrive in our capital on the same day, which is the 28th, and then we rest,” Ezery said.
“On the 29th, we pull into the Capitol from all different directions and we pull right into parliament, the parliament building, [and] we shut down the whole city. And while this is taking place on the 29th when we shut down Ottawa, the rest of the Canadians are going to do their part and start shutting down all provincial or state borders.”
The Epoch Times reached out to other leaders of the Canadian protestors.
“Today we have one of the most important fights and responsibilities on our hands in recent history, namely, to protect our human rights, freedom of choice, freedom of voice, expression, opinion, and uncensored debate,” said Martin Brodmann, a trucker from Nova Scotia and president of Truckers United Inc.
“Time is running out fast. Let’s not waste the few seconds we have left to make a difference, not only on behalf of our veterans but more so for the generations to come. We have to trust and let us guide not only by our doings, more so we have to trust and unite in faith regardless of what kind of beliefs anyone has.
“Faith is also a freedom of choice,” Brodmann added.
Pat King from Alberta is currently an occupational health and safety professional. He was a dispatch supervisor for five years and drove trucks for 15 years.
“We can’t go on living like this any longer. And as a father, I need to do my part to protect my children’s future and the future generations to come,” King said.
Ryan Mihilewicz, a trucker of 25 years from Saskatchewan, said: “Our veterans fought hard for our freedoms and all those freedoms are being taken. It’s time for Canadians to return the favor. The government needs to realize they work for the people, not the other way around.”
Tamara Lich, another top organizer, has worked in the oil and gas industry for 23 years.
“Our rights and freedoms have been taken from us once again, after so many years of people constantly being divided by our government it’s time for us to take a stand and demand our laws be followed properly. The government continues to find loopholes to justify their abusive behavior and it’s not going to be tolerated any further,” Lich said.
According to Ezery, there are also “tons” of trucks coming from Quebec.
On Jan. 11, Quebec Premier Francois Legault announced his intention to impose a new “health contribution” tax on the unvaccinated in the coming weeks. He didn’t specify the amount to be levied but said it would be “significant.”
Joanie Pelchat is the top organizer for Quebec, a veteran medical software professional.
“It’s time to wake up. It’s time to act. It’s time to make a change. We are going downhill and it needs to change. This government overreach needs to end. I’m doing this for my daughter’s future and for Canada’s future,” Pelchat said.
Seems logical the Canadian government will take measures to keep the trucks far away from Parliament. Close down the city if they have to.
I wonder if the Canadians even have enough tanks and APCs to make a cordon around Parliament. That would be an entertaining visual.
“If you are not fully vaccinated
This is what you need to do if you do not qualify under the fully vaccinated rules for travel to England.
Before you travel to England – not fully vaccinated
Before you travel to England you must:
take a COVID-19 test – to be taken in the 2 days before you travel to England
book and pay for day 2 and day 8 COVID-19 PCR tests – to be taken after arrival in England
complete a passenger locator form – to be completed in the 48 hours before you arrive in England
You will need to enter the booking reference for your day 2 and day 8 tests in the UK passenger locator form.
When you arrive in England – not fully vaccinated
After you arrive in England you must:
quarantine at home or in the place you are staying for 10 full days
take your COVID-19 PCR tests – you must book these tests before you travel
You must take the first test on or before day 2 and the second test on or after day 8. The day you arrive is day 0.
If you are in England for less than 10 days, you need to quarantine for the time you are here. You need to book day 2 and day 8 PCR tests. You only need to take the tests if you are still in England on those days.
If the test result is positive
If your day 2 test is positive, you must self-isolate for 10 full days. The day you took the test is day 0.
You do not need to take the day 8 test if your day 2 test is positive. If your day 2 test is negative, you must take your day 8 test.
If your day 8 test is positive, you must self-isolate for 10 full days. The day you took the day 8 test is day 0.
If the test result is negative
If your day 2 test is negative, you must continue to quarantine.
You must take your day 8 test on or after day 8.
If your day 8 test is negative, you can stop quarantine on whichever is later:
day 10 – day 0 is the day you arrived in England
when you receive the day 8 test result
Example
If you receive your day 8 negative test result back on day 9, you must continue to quarantine until the end of day 10.
If you receive your day 8 negative test result back on day 12, you must quarantine until the end of day 12.
If the test result is unclear
If the result of your day 2 test is unclear, you must self-isolate for 10 full days. The day you took the test is day 0.
If the result of your day 8 test is negative, you can stop self-isolating on whichever is later:
day 10 - day 0 is the day you arrived in England
the day you received the negative day 8 test result
If your day 8 test is unclear, you must self-isolate for 10 full days. The day you took the day 8 test is day 0.
You can choose to take another private test. If that test result is a negative result, you can stop self-isolating on whichever is later:
day 10 - day 0 is the day you arrive in England
the day you received the negative replacement test result from the additional test
Test to Release scheme
If you need to quarantine, you may be able to end quarantine early if you pay for a private COVID-19 test through the Test to Release scheme.
Red list countries
There are different rules if you have been in a red list country in the 10 days before you arrive in England.
Check which countries and territories are on the red list and read the red list rules.
Travelling with children
Children aged 4 and under do not have to take any COVID-19 travel tests.
Children aged 5 to 17 have to follow the testing and quarantine rules for people who qualify as fully vaccinated on arrival in England.
This means that they have to take a COVID-19 test after they arrive in England – before the end of day 2 at the latest.
Check the rules in this guidance for people who qualify as fully vaccinated for travel to England for more details.
You should also check the rules in the country you are travelling from as they may require children to take a test at the start of your journey to England.
There are different rules for children who have been in a red list country or territory in the 10 days before they arrive in England.
Medical and work-related exemptions
Some people cannot be fully vaccinated for medical reasons.
Read more about medical exemptions from vaccination.
There are also medical exemptions from:
testing before travel to England
quarantine for people having medical treatment
Some people are exempt from some or all of the requirements because of the job they do.
Transiting through England
Read separate guidance if you are transiting through England as part of an international journey.
Ireland, the UK, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man
If you're travelling to England from within the UK, Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, you do not need to:
complete a passenger locator form
take any COVID-19 tests
quarantine on arrival in England
This only applies if you have not been outside of the UK, Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man in the 10 days before the day you arrive in England. If you have, you must follow the international travel rules in the place where you arrive.
See separate guidance on travel within the Common Travel Area after international travel.
Red list countries and territories
There are different rules if you have been in a red list country or territory in the 10 days before you arrive in England. If you need to follow red list rules, you must do so if you are fully vaccinated or not.
Check which countries and territories are on the red list and read the red list rules.”
Other sources are coming on line including the P.M.'s speech to Parliament. Other nations are joining in, Sweden and the Chec Republic. Our media can't follow orders to suppress the story for much longer. The spin doctors are burning the oil tonight. Not to mention the growing trucker's strike on the Canadian border.
This is fantastic news. Hopefully our Aussie state governments will take heed.
So if the real truckers go Galt, the third-worlders will be free to destroy each other Road Warrior style, and the only pity is the poor motorists on the interstates, which they will probably studiously avoid after a few crash-ups with big rigs make the news. My middle son is a trucker, and he has my sympathies. Don’t know what his attitude is about the jab and the mandate, though.
I was thinking more of Todd Beamer’s war cry on United 93, but couldn’t say “let’s” not being a trucker.
Our truckers should strike until Biden and Harris resign.

Then you have President Pelosi - how’s that going to work out? We don’t have a parliamentary system like Canada.
I want a strike…let the gibsmedats riot, and let the whole nation see what the consequences of these dictatorial actions are: no protection against disease and greatly reduced liberties.
I have never understood anyone thinking that a poodle hairdo is attractive
On anyone. They made Ali McGraw ugly!! Adrienne Barbeau…Bob Ross…just repulsive

Do these political clowns understand the anarchy that would ensue if a food shortage ever occurred?
