I read a week ago that students in schools (north England) were refusing to comply. Only ~70 students out of ~2000 were complying with wearing masks. The Brits can be a rebellious lot. Once I read this I knew something was up. The working class are giving the authorities a middle finger.

It won’t matter. Americans are a happy people, slow to anger, but even the dumbest tyrant recognized they were awfully close to going too far. You can’t rule the world if you are dead. All the money in the world can’t buy you more then the six foot burial plot they would eventually occupy.

Not good enough. COVID hysteria is not laid to rest. It is simply diminished by virtue of its lessening influence. Look for restrictions to be reenforced as a new strain brings newer infection rates.
The underlying fallacy of lockdowns, masks, injections, and a pervasive diminution of personal liberty as a means of controlling COVID has still not been addressed.
Just to be clear, we may be perceived to have won some kind of argument, the left will never admit it, and the scientific community is going to be apoplectic in an academic civil war which should be waged in every administration department in every university and among every lab research company.
What needs to happen is to drive home the point that hubris and authoritarian policy responses are completely unacceptable for anything beyond a very short term.

With all of the fake websites that pop up out of nowhere and proclaim news like this, the ability of deep fake videos to make it appear that someone says something they did not, I would say a little healthy skepticism is always warranted. Which is exactly why I went out and looked to see if anyone else was reporting that story, found that there was, and posted a link validating the original poster. Exactly how is that a bad thing? And who’s quick to judge here?
This can only mean something worse is on the way.
