The Global Times, an English-language newspaper operated by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), wrote an article bragging about President Joe Biden’s reliance on China to implement his coronavirus testing plan.
Biden announced a plan last month to deliver 500 million at-home coronavirus tests to Americans across the country. As of Tuesday, citizens may order tests directly from the U.S. Postal Service, which ships them in 7-12 days.
The Global Times article boasts that Biden’s purchase of tests led to a “bull run” in Andon Health Company’s stock. Andon Health Company is the parent company of its U.S. subsidiary, iHealth Labs, which signed a $1.28 billion deal with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to procure the at-home tests.
Andon Health’s stock “soared 49.07 percent over this week,” according to the article. “The contract involved is our subsidiary in the U.S., but our production is in Tianjin in North China,” an Andon Health source told Global Times.
Along with test kits, Chinese manufacturers saw a spike in U.S.-based orders for face masks. “The number of inquiries for orders from the U.S. rose by 30 percent over the past week from the prior week, and the company is running at full capacity with its employees working extra shifts to meet clients’ needs,” a mask manufacturer said.

Pretty fair mockery.
Make China greater. But remember, 10% for the big guy.
Hey! That's our job. Do we have to outsource everything to the ChiComs?
Chinese mockery aside, what good is constant testing? As near as I can tell, all it does is keep the fear going.
How many shares of Andon Health stock do Hunter and James Biden own?
That’s right. If someone starts getting sick they should stay home and deal with it.

Documents show how China-based firm scored a $1B N95 mask contract with Newsome
California Gov. Gavin Newsom held back details from the public and lawmakers about a $990 million state N95 mask contract with a China-based firm scrutinized by Congress.

Newsom’s office refuses records request on ‘murky’ $1B mask deal with Chinese compan. But now, a trove of 848 pages of documents is available to the public, obtained by government watchdog group Judicial Watch. The documents provide details on how the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services selected BYD to make 300 million face masks for protection against COVID-19, a virus that originated in Wuhan.
Earlier this year, state legislators tried to press Newsom to provide details about the deal, as one senior Democratic lawmakers called the deal “murky.”
The documents—mostly emails—show the role of lobbyists in arranging the deal and that California deviated from normal procedures in awarding the contract.
“It would surprise Americans to see how a major Chinese company can so easily access government officials,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton told Fox News. “I would think the California legislature would be interested in how this happened.”
