Hong Kong authorities say they will kill about 2,000 small animals, including hamsters, after several tested positive for the coronavirus at a pet store where an employee was also infected.

Our healthcare workers only have to isolate for 5 days and they’re good to go. These hamsters are already isolated so they should be good to go in 5 days, right?
Two thousand in one store, huh. A few zeros on that number too many...

you would think quarantine would work the same way. Is this the same culture that puts fish, seahorses and what not in sealed plastic key chains and replace when it dies? I’m old, I may be wrong, but I do remember when it was taught that virus’s did not jump species. So swine, bird and bat flu would be manmade? Why are we testing pets and wild animals? Insane world. Crazy times.
