A woman was pushed to her death in front of a subway train at the Times Square station Saturday, police said, a little more than a week after the mayor and governor announced plans to boost subway policing and outreach to homeless people in New York City’s streets and trains. The man believed responsible fled the scene but turned himself in to transit police a short time later, Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell said at a news conference with Mayor Eric Adams at the station. The 40-year-old victim, identified as Michelle Alyssa Go of New York, was waiting for a southbound R train around 9:40 a.m. when she was apparently shoved, according to police. “This incident was unprovoked, and the victim does not appear to have had any interaction with the subject,” Sewell said. A second woman told police the man had approached her minutes earlier and she feared he would push her onto the tracks. “He approaches her and he gets in her space. She gets very, very alarmed,” Assistant Chief Jason Wilcox said, describing the earlier encounter. “She tries to move away from him and he gets close to her, and she feels that he was about to physically push her onto the train. As she’s walking away she witnesses the crime where he pushes our other victim in front of the train.”

When Adams said he’s going to crack down on crime, he is specifically talking about stopping things like the smash-and-grabs at high-end stores and attacks in middle and upper-class NYC neighborhoods. He was elected by white liberals for this. He’s not going to do a damn thing about the gangbangers who kill each other or the lower-level drug and theft crimes and such. This is all about creating a two-tier justice system where the low-level thugs are free to kill each other and the people like the wealthy liberal elitists don’t like because it also saves money down the road for the state.
One of my nightmares would be this kind of thing happening to my adult daughter who lives in NYC. Maybe it’s a very good thing that she is terrified of getting CoVid, due to the gaslighting going on there.
But when they released the photo, they couldn't hide it.

Why would ANY woman be alone, waiting for a Southbound R, at 9:40 AM, given their new DA? Pretty damn stupid.
When I was young my father used to tell me to stay back from the subway platform for this very reason. It was presumably rare then (in Wash. DC anyway). I thought he was nuts.

I read the whole thing. There was ONE very important word missing from the story.

If he has certain protective characteristics he'll be out on no-bail before the police reports are finished.
1. Report this as a hate crime but imply a white person did this.
2. Cover up that it was black on Asian crime.
3. He is clearly a victim of white privilege, so give him a misdemeanor ticket and let him out with no bail.
That's 2022 New York.
