I think a major issue is birth control. People are now able to choose when to have children and how many they will have.
And this will also tie in with other factors, such as couples limiting themselves due to costs of raising children. Some is just selfishness, among people who just don’t want children, and modern birth control freeing them from unplanned pregnancies.
Part of it too, can be how a growing number of people never get married at all. And whatever social pressures to marry and settle down once existed, do not exist any longer.
One would think that $1.6 trillion in student debt would have purchased a lot of skill.

it was always a foregone conclusion that after a cold winter there would be a spurt in births the next Fall. But something has happened to the American male. For using the same rule, after the covid lock-down one would expect births galore.
My question: if not that, what on earth were all the child-bearing women and their men doing during the lock-down. Don’t the laws of nature work anymore!!!

Decline in US birthrates, the ethnic population mix, is a topic of some importance for those interested in the future of the nation. Little is written about it. So when a article such as this appears it behooves us all to read what this guy has to say. No question he has studied it and is presenting it as he sees it.
