You miss the most obvious parts: Neither Byrd, nor anyone else issued any verbal warnings or commands. Byrd lied about that and there’s more than enough video to prove that. Secondly, there at least three M16-armed police officers within a few feet.
There were no signs or other warning methods to tell anyone that they were entering a shoot-to-death-without-warning area (if such actually exists).
Lastly, if Ashli had a bomb in her backpack, wouldn’t it have been designed to go off when that murderous meathead shot her? (Deadman switch)
People like you have lost sight of who we are supposed to be. We are only a fraction of an inch from Nazis, at this point.
What in blue blazes are you talking about? Where did I condone the murder of Ashley Babbitt?
That is the basis of the civil suit. Did Byrd issue a warning? He claims he did; others say, "no."
But there is the question of what the officers outside the doors said to the crowd about whether or not to enter. It was pretty clear that entering was prohibited. But was it necessary to warn that entering amounted to disregarding a "Stop or I'll shoot" command?
There were two witnesses to this stomping outside the Capitol who phoned in their account to Rush. Later, I heard there was another young woman who died because of an “overdose”. Is that how they whitewashed it?
So a slow motion 5 second clip that repeats over and over is the clearest video you have saved? Is there something more behind the slimes paywall? If that is the best you have got then that is pretty damned pathetic!
If it were in real time your video wouldn't last as long as the following gif... Are those the mostly peaceful riots?
Not surprised. Communist government officials kill the citizens; it’s what they do.
No, your gif is not of anything mostly peaceful. There was so much street violence that went unpunished prior to Jan. 6th. that it is an utter disgrace.
I remember being scared to death about what was going to transpire on January 6th. Security was clearly lacking.
Free Republic etiquette is that responding to the first post is a general response to the thread.
Did you post The NY Times video?
Yes, I had it labeled, but it was not the one I thought it was... Sorry.
It was clearly an energetic, even jovial mood and the three black-uniformed cops seemed uninterested.
Boyd fired without any warning after deliberately aiming for some seconds from his hidden position.
If Boyd had been somewhere near normal, a simple push or a shouted warning would have been sufficient - but he didn't: he shot to kill.
The worst part of this travesty is that the "investigating agencies" didn't. They whitewashed the whole thing - and we have some fellow Freepers who think that things are just fine when an American citizen is shot to death.
Nor would the Capitol Police. The DOJ announced that no charges were warranted on April 14 and the Capitol Police closed their 'investigation' and exonerated the officer in August.
I always thought it was responding to the article that’s the basis of the thread. In fact, I’ve often unintentionally offended the author of the first post by saying “GFYS” to the author or subject of the article, and he thought I meant him. And now they’ve got me doing it, but our respective notions of Freep etiquette have apparently diverged.
It’s kind of amazing. Police officer shoots and kills an unarmed suspect and the shooting if ruled justified. And people are surprised by that?
This may sound cliche, but Byrd one day will answer for this murder. Before G-d.
Thou shall not murder.
5.56mm
That’s a given.
I went back and reread the passage. Total misread on my part.
You do as you see fit.
I wasn’t posting directly to you.
It’s okay for cops to shoot white unarmed women but when they shoot dangerous thugs it’s a crime against humanity and the country must burn for it.
I am not disputing anything you just said, just making an observation between you, me and the ceiling fan.
