If at first you don’t succeed, try again eight years later.
Singer-songwriter Clay Aiken, best known for finishing second on “American Idol” nearly two decades ago, announced Monday that he would run for Congress as a Democrat for a second time after being soundly beaten in a 2014 House race.
In a video announcing his candidacy that was posted on his Twitter account, Aiken told potential voters that “these days, my life looks a lot like yours than Justin Bieber’s, that I can promise you.”
“But one thing that’s never changed for me is how much I love my home state,” Aiken added. “North Carolina is the place that I discovered first that I have a voice and that it was a voice that could be used for more than singing.”
Aiken, 43, is seeking to replace Rep. David Price, a Democrat who announced his retirement in October, in the redrawn 6th Congressional District, which includes Chapel Hill.
In his announcement video, Aiken remarked that North Carolina “was actually the progressive beacon in the South” at one time.
“But then things changed, and the progressives lost power, and we started getting backwards-ass policies, like the voter suppression bills and the bigoted bathroom bill,” he said.

But now the “loudest voices” in North Carolina are “white nationalists like this guy,” said Aiken, showing a video clip of Republican Rep. Madison Cawthorn speaking at the pro-Trump “Stop the Steal” rally shortly before the Capitol riot.
Aiken went on to display photos of Republican Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia and Lauren Boebert of Colorado, saying, “These folks are taking up all the oxygen in the room and I’ve got to tell you, I am sick of it.”
Clay never gets tired of being on the bottom.
What a faggot.
Yes, this is how I would have written it.
Will he be running as a Film Actors Guild candidate.
?
I thought he died from the AIDS.
i believe a Flower Arrangement Guy is a distinct possibility.
Come on NC. Make clay second place again.
(and the bigoted bathroom bill,)
Luke 17:26-30
King James Version
26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

Good grief...
If a bartender can do it, why not a failed TV show singer?
And I always preface Hillary Clinton with “Two time failed presidential candidate “

Five references to self in that short quote.
Sounds like its more about HIM than the state.
“Sounds like its more about HIM than the state.”
translation: because of MY singing that I’m running. The fag only thinks of himself. And the twink was bitching about the “bathroom bill”. That’s his priority?
If you are a liberal, then you ain’t no cowboy!
Translation.... I need a Taxpayer paid pension. SCUMBAG
Gay Achin’ is back. This time running in David Price’s ultramoonbat seat.
Oh, and Cawthorn is a Rino supreme.
I trust him as much as Aiken.
They are in cahoots.
For those who don't know or remember, in late January Cawthorn proclaimed Biden's legitimacy and stated the election was not fraudulent.
"Yes, I think I would say that the election was not fraudulent. You know, the Constitution allowed for us to be able to push back as much as we could and I did that to the amount of the constitutional limits that I had at my disposal. So now I would say that Joseph R. Biden is our president.""So when I contested to the election, that was within the constitutional guidelines that the framers had set up. But after I've done that and the electors and the delegates from each state elected Joe Biden as our president, I respect the office. He is my president, and I want to work with him to make sure that we can bring some meaningful change to the American people."
Since Biden's inauguration, Cawthorn has signed onto a letter along with 16 other GOP House freshmen, saying they look forward to working with Biden. Notably, Cawthorn is the youngest member of Congress in modern history, according to US House records, at just 25 years old.

Meg McCain “congratulated” him.
