New York City Mayor Eric Adams on Sunday defended his decision to name his brother, former NYPD police officer Bernard Adams, as a deputy NYPD commissioner.
Though he acknowledged a city ethics panel will “make the determination” on whether there’s a conflict of interest over bringing on his brother for the job, Adams argued it’s necessary given the threat he faces from “white supremacy.”
“Let me be clear on this: My brother is qualified for the position. Number one, he will be in charge of my security, which is extremely important to me at a time when we see an increase in white supremacy and hate crimes,” he told CNN’s Jake Tapper on “State of the Union.”
“I have to take my security in a very serious way,” the mayor added.
During a press conference on Sunday, Adams went into more detail about why he chose his brother.
“Protection is personal. You have an increase of anarchists in this city, country. We have a serious problem with white supremacy. And when you talk about this type of security that I want, it’s extremely unique. I don’t want to be away from my public,” he said.

White supremacy, yeah Ok, here we go, here we go. I live in New York and was telling my relatives this guy is going to be just as bad as DeBlasio. Why? Becuse he’s a DEMOCRAT and they were telling me “Oh maybe not, he’s an ex cop” and I told them “TRUST ME, he is going to pull the same Marxist woke BS” and here we are, not even 2 weeks in office.
They get a pass, because no one on the right, wants to be called a racist.
It reminds me of a semi joke. “What did you do in the war, Daddy?” “Well, I managed NOT to be called a racist.”

I live in New York and told my relatives when they started showing support for Adams that he’s a democrat, 100% guaranteed he is going to be a woke moron and here we are and he’s only been in office ten days and it’s only going to get worse from here and nobody will confront him. Nobody will ask him to provide an example of a white supremacist attack.

Most hate crimes committed against Asians is committed by blacks...don’t ever hear that is the MSM because it doesn’t fit the narrative. His brother’s salary will be around $240,000. Same thing happening as in other cities. Public office is a reward for being non-White, requires no competence or work, and is seen as payback against the evil White “oppressor.”
No criticism is allowed, and corruption is allowed and incompetence is welcomed.

Sorry to say that. I have some black heroes - like Clarence Thomas, for example. But in the big cities dominated by blacks, it really seems like a Black Supremacy Movement....BSM instead of BLM.
