Royal Caribbean International canceled cruises on four of its ships Friday amid a global surge in COVID-19 cases.
"In abundance of caution, Royal Caribbean International is pausing operations" for a few ships, the cruise company announced in a statement obtained by The Hill.

I’m going to Sonoma for some wine tasting tomorrow. I’m noticing some restaurants “closing for 2 weeks out of an abundance of caution.”
Amazing—the gov’t is not mandating it, but they are doing it anyway. I’ll be there tomorrow, ready to spend money, vaxxed and also with natural immunities from covid as well. They could even serve outside; it would be warm enough!
Maybe they have a lot of servers sick and they know it. It’s hard to hire restaurant workers and especially backup ones.

They offered a full refund or 125% compensation toward a future cruise.

Royal Caribbean and Carnival stock prices rose after hours Friday. Same thing happened last Friday when the CDC warned everybody to avoid cruises.
