Keck Observatory on Maunakea, Hawaiʻi Island—a team of researchers conducting the Young Supernova Experiment (YSE) transient survey observed the red supergiant during its last 130 days leading up to its deadly detonation."

Not much to see at that distance other than a bright spot through a telescope. I think this is the best there is.

Betelgeuse will be a great show when it explodes, as some scientists think it soon may.
"Soon" defined as anytime between tonight and a million years from now.
Actually more like between tonight and 100,000 years from now, but yeah.
