Shaky data. Sequenced in November and only 12 cases?
WHO would have designated it by now.
Have no doubt, though, another variant is due in a week or three. And you can put to bed the confidence that viruses mutate to more gentle forms.
Delta was/is far more severe than Alpha, or the original.
