It looked to me like a good shoot of a very bad guy, with an unfortunate outcome from one stray round.
Yes, if he was white and the suspect and girl had been black we would probably dealing with riots again - but the officer did his job, IMHO.

if they can throw a cop into prison for accidentally pulling out her gun instead of her tazor and in the heat of chaos shoots and kills someone, immediately acknowledges it, then this black cop better get lots of prison time, because he killed someone intentionally as well as another person not even involved in the situation..
I thought latino/a meant their roots are in Latin America.

to the story above, don't expect anything to be done....nothing....
there was no warning that I heard except when they first entered the building on the first floor....no "put our hands up" or "we are the police"....
that guy...mentally ill for sure...looked like he wanted to throw his bike down on somebody, probably waiting for whites...takes his pants off.....
he was violent and I could care less about him but I would think the cops would know how to approach the mentally ill without an automatic death sentence.

Thanks for this. It was under standing that the young woman was the victim of a ricochet round. Do you know if the fatal round was ricochet or a stray?
Why did he feel the need to use a rifle? It seems totally inappropriate. The rifle slug is guaranteed to go through wallboard, a pistol round perhaps not. A taser would seem o be indicated but if one is holding a rifle already, then as the saying goes, when your tool is a hammer everything looks like a nail.
Chicano was displaced by Latino/a and the wokies are trying to replace it with Latinx which seems related to Stinx, probably from Leftie stereotypes about imputed Chicano, Latino/a/x bathing habits. If I have to use a term to identify someone I have always used “Spanish” referring to language.
Walter Williams, referring to Negro and leftist tendency to claim separate “African” culture, said that culturally, American Negroes are BASPs.
He pushed past two other armed officers who told him subsequently to hold off/slow down. He was itching to shoot somebody.
The ironic thing is that they speak a version of the language of their former conquerors and now treat it as their own heritage.
Exactly my take on the situation. That cop was itching to make the kill regardless of safety guidelines. Just to show off. He deserves to be jailed for a long time to think about his mistakes, same as any other reckless criminal who gets someone killed.
