Two in three Americans surveyed in a new poll said the Jan. 6 attack at the U.S. Capitol was not an isolated incident.

The CBS News poll released Sunday found that 68 percent of respondents said that they believe the attack is a sign of increasing political violence in the country, while 32 percent of said it was isolated.

Well, it WAS isolated. There were none before or since. You don't need a survey to establish that. BLM riots, however, were NOT isolated: they occurred nationwide for months. But, of course, that is not what they are asking about.

The survey is clearly intended to plant the idea that there were actually a whole bunch of these incidents. More gaslighting.

Great point. "Isolated incident" could mean many things to many people, along the lines that you suggest, but what they clearly want is to create the impression that January 6th was merely the tip of the iceberg of some vast white-supremacist uprising that is in the works, and which poses an ongoing threat to "democracy."

That’s what I thought,too. Most people would consider the thing at the Capitol within the context of all the BLM and Antifa mayhem, and would also consider the Antifa antics and BLM riots as “increasing political violence”.

Then they spun the story to make fit their lefty narrative, as usual.
