In a recent Washington Post op-ed, three retired generals, Paul Eaton, Antonio Taguba, and Steven Anderson warn of a supposedly impending coup should Donald Trump be elected in 2024.
The column seemed strangely timed to coincide with a storm of recent Democratic talking points that a reelected Trump, or even a Republican sweep of the 2022 midterms, would spell a virtual end of democracy.
Ironies abound.
From Election Day in 2020 to Inauguration Day 2021, we were told by the left that democracy was resilient and rightly rid the nation of Trump.
The hard left, for one of the rare times in U.S. history, was now in complete control of both houses of Congress and the presidency.
Spiking inflation, supply-chain shortages, near-record gas prices, open borders, the flight from Afghanistan, multitrillion-dollar deficits, and polarizing racial rhetoric all followed.
In response to these events, Joe Biden’s popularity utterly collapsed. His own cognitive challenges multiplied the unpopularity of his failed policies.
In reaction, the left again pivoted. It suddenly announced that should it lose congressional power in 2022 or the presidency in 2024, democracy was all but doomed.

Yup.
The propaganda organs of the Marxists Dems are vomitting this swill 24/7.
Meanwhile it is a fact that they are conducting demographic warfare on America by transporting millions of illegal aliens into various states across America. Thats a drect threat to ‘democracy.”
Secondly the Marxist Dems want to federalize state election law to carve ballot harvesting and non veridfication of mail in votes across the nation so they can steal future elections as they did with the 2020 federal election.
This is a direct threat to democracy.
As far as most Americans who know these two facts, the Demmocrat party itself and its maniac non factual media supporters such as MSNLSD, CNN, ABC, Washington Boast and the New York Slimes are all destroying democracy.
Mid Terms 2022. The MArxist Dems lose Congress and the Senate.
Election 2024. The Dems lose the presidency.
We will put these MArxist Dems where they belong: The Trash Bin of History.
And there is not one thing the MArxist Dems can do about it except lie, cheat , steal, and spend as much of your money as they can in the meantime.
Who will be doing the coup-ing? I guess the military has is being manipulated to eliminate all Patriots, so things could get ugly.
The Patriots will have to find a way to coup right back at them.

I am now starting to understand why these people assert these things.That's the real "dog whistle" at work.
One of the key laws Republicans need to pass upon regaining the levers of power is a law that forbids retired military officers from working for defense contractors or lobbying first until the passage of sufficient time...say 10 years...after their retirement.
Military officers need to be focused on making the US military the most efficient killing machine possible. They should not be focused on domestic politics or lining their pockets as soon as they retire.
I am old enough to remember “Seven Days in May” Novel 1962 / Movie 1964. Plot is a MacArthur as Joint Chiefs Chairman and a President who negotiated a disarmament treaty with Soviet Russia working to get a Senate passage. Open threat of a military coup from the right. Hollywood’s view on this was quite obvious!
I also remember the famous quip from the Clinton Inauguration where one partisan reassures another when the latter bristles at a military fly-over; “Relax, they are ours now!”
The LEFT has always sought control over their perceived enemies and I think we are seeing the real victory over the senior officer corps here. We forget that the President has SIGNIFICANT control on the advancement of O-7 and above officers (General & Admiral slots).
As I recall it, Obama’s Administration was known for ‘early retirements’ in those ranks. While Victor Hansen did not go down this route, on a previous post on FR, I pointed out that 3 Generals is a dust speck in the population of retired O-7+ officers. Regard the 120 such retired officers who SIGNED a protest over Biden’s Afghanistan failure! Yet that protest has been forgotten and buried!

A little late for that warning - it already happened in 2020 - Trump got elected and a Coup put Poopy Pants in the Whitehouse.

It’s pure denial. I’ve met people like this.
They bought all the lies about Trump all the way along, because they couldn’t endure the truth.
Now they can’t tell you anything about his Presidency, because they SO saturated in their thinking with all the lies they don’t know anything true about it. They almost fully believe the lies are really what happened.
It’s a cult. If you ask people why they are members of the Trump Hate Cult, they will say “All my friends are in it”. They live in their echo chambers and hate everyone who isn’t in the cult.
They still believe Trump will destroy the world if he ever gets to be President.
Democracy to the rats means the duty of the people to elect the rat ruler of their choice from a rat-approved list of candidates.
