Brooks: ‘I Worry’ ‘Easy Time’ in Foreign Policy without ‘Major’ Disasters Will End in 2022
Breitbart ^ | 01/01/2022 | Ian hatchett

Posted on 01/01/2022 11:08:57 AM PST by ChicagoConservative27

On Friday’s “PBS NewsHour,” New York Times columnist David Brooks stated that he’s worried about trouble abroad in 2022, even though we’ve “had an easy time in foreign policy over the last few years, and we’ve been blessed by not having major international disasters.”

Brooks stated, “I worry about abroad. We’ve had an easy time in foreign policy over the last few years, and we’ve been blessed by not having major international disasters. I worry about Russia and Ukraine quite a lot. I worry about that China’s a lot less stable than it seems, or that China gets into a conflict with Taiwan or somebody else in the Pacific. I worry about the Middle East. Somehow, I just have the gut sense that the sweet ride, for the most part, that we’ve had internationally, we’re pushing our luck, Amna.”

I guess David’s forgotten about the withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Gee whiz, David, if we had an “easy time” in foreign policy “the past few years” is it possible that President Trump was responsible for at least four years of that?

The China and Russia problems also grew much worse in 2021. Is this a setup to blame disasters on a 2022 midterm loss for the ‘RATs?

And the religious genocide of Christians by muslims throughout the Middle East and Africa?

How did Brooks ever get a plate at the pundit table? Except by being a “conservative” Step N Fetchit for the New York Times.

He just admitted Trump was a statesman. Despite all the media trying so hard to destroy and demonize him he was respected. He knew how to negotiate, he was tough, and he was pro-American. Obozo and Hillary set the world on fire and basically destroyed Europe with the Muslim “refugee” invasion. No major conflicts during Trump’s administration. And now back to another anti-American democrat it’s just getting started with Afghanistan. NO ONE on the world stage respects Joe Biden. He is week. He is stupid. He is owned.

Neocon war monger says he’s worried about the thing he desperately wants to happen ... does.

Brooks, as usual, is a complete idiot. Biden’s team of incompetents managed to turn a graceful exit in Afghanistan into a debacle, infuriate the French by a behind-the-back deal with Australia over nuclear submarines, alarm Taiwan by blatant irresolution, rekindle the Iranian nuclear program, bluster ineffectively in Ukraine - I wish I could name a single foreign policy success in the last year other than the pay-for-play Hunter Biden toll bridge to the Big Guy.

Blame Willam Buckley.
From 2008 article by Brooks:
Buckley came to the University of Chicago, delivered a lecture and said: “David Brooks, if you’re in the audience, I’d like to offer you a job.”

That was the big break of my professional life. A few years later, I went to National Review and joined the hundreds of others who have been Buckley protégés.

Completely lost on these fools that Trump kept the world safe with tweets while they freaked out about it.
