The Los Angeles police officer who fatally shot a 14-year-old girl as she tried on Christmas dresses has been identified as a veteran Black cop who, before killing the unarmed teenager, tried to build his brand as a community advocate and reformer.
He also launched an apparel line called “Use of Force Fitness” but dissolved it in December 2020, after months of unprecedented protests against police violence across America.
William Dorsey Jones Jr., 42, was formally identified by his lawyer in The New York Times. Attempts to reach Jones for comment this week were unsuccessful, and his attorney, Leslie Wilcox, did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Thursday.

He accidentally killed someone in the line of duty, so did Kim Potter who was just found guilty of two counts of manslaughter.

Overpenetration is ALWAYS a problem with rifles, especially if the primary target is missed. What a SHAME. The caller who incorrectly said the bike chain guy had a gun caused the cops to open fire a bit too far away.
I watched the video. He should be fired.

Oh, and the Daily Beast contributes to the problem by capitalizing "black" for a skin color.
To be fair, it would be a problem with a 9mm parabellum, if the backstop is a 3.5 inch 25 gauge stud at 24” oc, and a later of 1/2” sheet rock on either side.
The boomer would be even worse.
Question was, why did the guy need to be shot just then? I will wait for the investigation, but I have questions.

In my opinion, this shooting was worse than the Potter shooting. But justice is no longer blind, This cop walks. Potter does hard time.

An accident is picking up a pound of unsalted butter instead of salted butter in the Dairy section at the supermarket. An accident is getting a half gallon of 1% milk at the milk section of the Dairy section at the supermarket. An accident is during the throes of passion, one spouse calling the other an old flame’s name. This was no accident. Neither was Kim Potter.
It does not sound like the type of stable, level-headed recruit they should be seeking. JMHO
