In one of his more blatant attempts to impose his will on a Republican politician, Donald Trump endorsed Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy (R) for reelection in 2022 on the condition that he will not support Sen. Lisa Murkowski’s (R-AK) reelection bid next year.
Dunleavy is facing a primary challenge from state Rep. Christopher Kurka.

LOL. I doubt it’s going to help to tease it out this way.
He has my Complete and Total Endorsement but, this endorsement is subject to his non-endorsement of Senator Lisa Murkowski who has been very bad for Alaska, including losing ANWAR, perhaps the most important drilling site in the world, and much else. In other words, if Mike endorses her, which is his prerogative, my endorsement of him is null and void, and of no further force or effect!
Murkowski was a known quantity 18 years ago.
She had a primary challenger back then named Mike Miller backed by folks like Sarah Palin who had called out the corruption of her father then Governor Frank Murkowski who Palin would replace after the 2006 election.
Alaska Right To Life set to endorse Miller over Murkowski when then Pennsylvania US Senator Rick Santorum rode out from Washington on behalf of the GOP Senate leadership backing Murkowski.
Santorum helped to save Murkowski.
If Dunleavy wants Trump’s endorsement and support then he knows what DJT’s terms are. Take them or not.
This writer makes it sound like there’s something wrong with expecting certain behavior from a candidate in exchange for an endorsement.
I love it. good for trump. these people don’t get to take an endorsement for granted and exercise libtard endorsements of their own. screw up and lose it!
He should also endorse a Democrat
Santorum also helped save Arlen Specter in 2004. Then when Santorum asked the safely reelected Specter to return the favor in 2006, Specter stabbed Santorum in the back.
Kelly Tshibaka resigned from Dunleavy’s administration and threw her hat in the ring for Senator opposing Murkowski. Is there really any doubt who Dunleavy will support?

Trump should have held back the endorsement until Dunleavy first endorsed Kelly Tshibaka.
Time to get on the MAGA train (led by the conductor Trump) or get the hell out of the way, otherwise be prepared to get run over.

Exactly. It was the Republican establishment who save Murkowski.
