Dear Conservatives, Elon Musk is Not Your Friend: He is a climate change radical who partners with the government at every turn to enrich himself
American Thinker ^ | 12/28/2021 | Bode Lang

Posted on 12/28/2021 8:33:17 AM PST by SeekAndFind

Conservatives have enjoyed Elon Musk's behavior in recent weeks, blasting Elizabeth Warren, opposing lockdowns, and insulting CNN, but the giddiness spewing from conservatives about Musk is foolish.

To those embracing Elon Musk's political conversion, remember that Musk has been one of the most prominent advocates of the continuous scam known as climate change.  Like Bill Gates and Al Gore, Musk is an extremely wealthy man who fattens his own pockets through propagating climate change.  And like those other rich guys, Musk doesn't refrain from using private jets to fly around the world to save it.

In 2018, Elon Musk reportedly donated $6 Million to the Sierra Club while writing, "Thank you for fighting climate change. This affects every living creature on earth."  Once merely an environmental advocacy group, the Sierra Club has since evolved to promote other left-wing issues from pushing for mass immigration and abortion

Musk also has no reservations about whispering sweet-nothings to communists by praising China as "more responsible" than the U.S. and said that Chinese government officials could "possibly" be "more responsible" for their citizen's happiness than America is.

In May, Musk tweeted a call for a Carbon Tax and spoke with the Biden administration about implementing it.  Musk demanding the government to take money from taxpayers should come as no surprise because Musk's companies received at least $4.9 billion in government subsidies – as of 2015!  Therein lies perhaps Musk's most incredible skill: enriching himself with the government's help.

While government subsidies are not exclusive to one industry, what sets Elon Musk apart is not only his ability to exploit taxpayers but to use government guns to extort his competitors through "regulatory credits."

Look asshole, if you stop with the antagonistic sh*t, I might be willing to actually discuss real science, which you obviously are incapable of.

I am a PhD chemist with a spectroscopy and nuclear background, I designed instrumentation for 50 years (now retired). I know how instruments work, I know spectroscopy, I also know mechanics and design.

Here is the fact. Mills claimed to have synthesized hydrino compounds. Sent to any professional chemical analysis lab that does instrumental analysis (specifically infrared and NMR) would yield incontrovertible evidence whether his theory is right or not. No fancy theory garbage...just incontrovertible measurements. And that process cannot be interfered with by outside parties, or those labs would rapidly go out of business.

The rest of your diatribe simply proves that you have totally swallowed the Mills Kool-aid.

Show me the DATA. HARD DATA. Not bullbleep.

38 years? C’mon dude, at least grab a time frame that gives you the cover of everyone in our generation being dead before you’re proved wrong.

Reserves proven and probable will last that, without scratching the surface of sands, shales, Antarctica and the fact that anything over a silver adjusted price of approximately 6-7 oz/ barrel will lead to massive conversion of organics and other garbage to hydrocarbons.

The shortage scam is just another in the bag of manipulations to try to steer humanity into the chains of authoritarian “management”.

He didn’t start out with all the connections and support that one of the previous richest men in the world such as Bill Gates had. He basically was a refugee.

Wonder if he’s really high level illuminati from the Oppenheimer family of South Africa?

“So tell me, just how long do you think the earth’s reserves of fossil fuels will last?”

Well over 500 years that we already know of. People like you claim we’ll run out any day now, yet, here we are.

Please tell us, what important connections did Bill Gates and Paul Allen have when they founded Microsoft in 1975?

Probably not, but who knows... He is an imaginative risk taker and an innovator who knows how to work the system. But I should warn you that any perceived slight to Elon could result in his whack job worshippers here making up stuff and attributing it to you and/or calling you all sorts of nasty names. It is more funny than disturbing, but just a heads up.

Yeah?
According to who?

People like you claim we'll run out any day now, yet, here we are.

Be good enough to show me when I have ever made such a claim will you?
My contention has always been more reserves are being found. However, they are going to run out eventually. Working on alternatives now is sensible.

” Working on alternatives now is sensible.”

That’s not what is going on here. Artificially pushing people into crap EVs is stupid, not sensible. Creating windmills that end up in dumps is not sensible.

Thanks for asking. I not ever met Bill Gates personally but did come into personal contact with Paul Allan on several occasions and Steve Ballmer on another. Paul Allan was quite a character and very likable. My wife and I met Steve Ballmer and two of his sons at a play where he was giving more attention to his laptop than his children.

You probably should read a biography about Gates or history of Microsoft to get the most complete picture, but Bill's mother had important connections that led directly to the deal with IBM that got the whole thing going. I am quoting from an obituary of Mary Gates that appeared in the New York Times.

“Mary Gates, a prominent Seattle businesswoman who helped her son, William H. Gates 3d, get the contract that led to a lucrative relationship with I.B.M. for his fledgling Microsoft Corporation, died at her home early today. She was 64.”

“Mrs. Gates was a director of several companies, including First Interstate Bancorp, U S West Inc. and KIRO-TV of Seattle.”

“She had been a regent at the University of Washington since 1975, the same year she became the first woman to serve as a director of First Interstate Bank and the first to serve as the president of the King County's United Way. She was later appointed to the board of the United Way of America; in 1983, she became the first woman to lead it. Right Time, Right Place”

“Her tenure on the national board's executive committee is believed to have helped Microsoft, based in Seattle, at a crucial time. In 1980, she discussed with John R. Opel, a fellow committee member who was the chairman of the International Business Machines Corporation, the business that I.B.M. was doing with Microsoft.”

“Mr. Opel, by some accounts, mentioned Mrs. Gates to other I.B.M. executives. A few weeks later, I.B.M. took a chance by hiring Microsoft, then a small software firm, to develop an operating system for its first personal computer.”

So, a quick google search is beyond your computer skills?? Try reading things outside of a political blog and maybe these answers wouldn’t be so elusive to you.

Be that as it may, fossil fuels will run out sooner or later. Working on alternatives seems sensible to me.

Nobody is forcing you to buy EV’s. By far most of the cars on America's roads are fossil fuel cars and it will remain so for a long time.
Vastly more EV'S are sold in China than in America and over 80% of cars sold in Norway for example, are EV'S. America is very very far from there.

I have done plenty of searches. No current, reputable source says “500 years”.
If you have such a source, let's have it will you?
