The House committee investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol has agreed to defer its request for hundreds of pages of records from the Trump administration.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The House committee investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol has agreed to defer its request for hundreds of pages of records from the Trump administration, bending to the wishes of the Biden White House.
The deferral is in response to concerns by the Biden White House that releasing all the Trump administration documents sought by the committee could compromise national security and executive privilege.
President Joe Biden has repeatedly rejected former President Donald Trump's blanket efforts to cite executive privilege to block the release of documents surrounding that day. But Biden's White House is still working with the committee to shield some documents from being turned over.
Trump is appealing to the Supreme Court to try to block the National Archives and Records Administration, which maintains custody of the documents from his time in office, from giving them to the committee.

Translation: The republicans could hold the House next year and have their own committees, and we can’t have a precedent set where our damning internal communications are fair game to them.

Yep, there's enough damning evidence to not only impeach Brandon, but to convict.
They agree that documents that do not support the narrative will stay hidden from sight.
No. They are only withholding the exculpatory ones. Didn’t Russia Collusion and Schiff teach the world anything?
This is the democrats way, to shield some documents that might incriminate them.
And honestly, the Republicans should proceed anyway. What this so called commission is doing is criminal.
Obviously these documents shielded do not contain the right narrative for their “conviction” of President Trump.
This is almost funny!
On the positive side, this will play a big role in getting all the criminal charges filed against people like Steve Bannon tossed out of court. The defendants in those cases have the right to see this information.
Or they think they will lose at the USSC so they are trying to show that they are considering Trumps Executive Privilege claims.

US News dutifully referred to it as an “insurrection,” but they left out the obligatory word “deadly.” Someone will be reprimanded.
An unauthorized board with no legal authority, has decided to take a partisan approach to push their agenda. Gee who would have thought.

And put the finger squarely on the Marxists in the Dem party for starting and exploiting it!
