Me either.....the only one is in California of course........refuses to come back because we won’t wear a mask around her.
Missed her mom’s 80th birthday because of that.

If you are a guest, politely leave if you feel so aggrieved.
If it’s your house, and they insult you or your guests, tell the arsehole to leave.
Miss Manners always has the answer.
Your 2021 holiday dinner political survival guide: pull out a turkey drumstick and say, “You calling me a white racist? You feel lucky punk?”
Not exactly a .44 Magnum, but it'll do for the woke crowd.
p
I only deal with like minded individuals so no issues for me.
Oh, there's some St. Nick to it.
In AD 325 Emperor Constantine convened the Council of Nicaea, the very first ecumenical council. More than 300 bishops came from all over the Christian world to debate the nature of the Holy Trinity. It was one of the early church’s most intense theological questions. Arius, from Egypt, was teaching that Jesus the Son was not equal to God the Father. Arius forcefully argued his position at length. The bishops listened respectfully.
As Arius vigorously continued, Nicholas became more and more agitated. Finally, he could no longer bear what he believed was essential being attacked. The outraged Nicholas got up, crossed the room, and slapped Arius across the face! The bishops were shocked.
My bro is here first time since this nonsense started. Already got in a match over COVID hysteria and vaxes.
I have a very small family, this is never a problem.
Simply declare politics off limits as conversation.
We never had to declare it, it was just something we never broached at our get togethers.
We know we have different political views but consider family more important.
If you're doing the entertaining, and those you're thinking of inviting are not of your political mindset - do not invite them.
If you're the invited, and your political mindset is not of the those who've invited you - just say no thank you.
There's a Christmas Tree in it.
The relatives are staying home which is fine by me. We’re not going anywhere, again fine by me. I made the phone calls early so that’s done. I grilled a brisket yesterday and am making a cheesecake for dinner so that’s easy enough. No fuss, no muss.
Sounds great, did you have any trouble finding the cream cheese? There is a shortage of it.
I wore my “Lets Go Brandon” sweartshirt to my XMAS dinner.
Two reasons why I received no adverse comments:
- No woke dummies at mine.
- I was the cook and no one wanted to cross me.
Just me, my wife, and five rescued homeless kittys that call this their home now.
“Pass the salt and ‘Lets go Brandon!’ “
Inside the Bear household there will be peace, love and small children who got their Christmas wish. Well, there will be peace and love until the board games are brought out. Then there will be cries of, "you thief! Cheat!" and of course "Mom! Make (him or her) Stop!"
I do love it so.
Merry Christmas. :)
