were renamed way back in the early 1990s. So - whatever.

Maybe they should change it to “Cape Ni____”
There were many blacks who fought for the British in exchange for their freedom and were resettled in Nova Scotia along with white loyalists / tories. Most of the blacks went to Sierra Leone in Africa, partly because they found Canada too cold. It removes a part of black history to change the name.
