Will Victor Hugo’s novel, Nigger of the Narcissus get re-named, too?
That’s Joseph Conrad’s novella.
A tale worth rereading as it foreshadows the tyranny of privileged minority.
When I was reading it on the subway years ago, I put a plain brown rapper around the cover to avoid getting assaulted on account of the title. Great sea yarn. I especially liked Donkin the communist agitator. He was so pathetic, it did my heart good to see him portrayed so.
Did I say “Victor Hugo”? Senior moment. My bad.

I checked google maps, they list about half a dozen “Jackass something” roads.
I know about the one in Littleton because I see it all the time.
Out-of-towner busybodies tried to rename White Settlement, a suburb of Fort Worth, Texas, but the local residents fought back and stopped it.
Only racists would say “negro,” which means black, is derogatory. Is there something wrong with “black”?
