Portland turned over its streets to Black Lives Matter-Antifa rioters last year and allowed the far-left to dictate public policy. Elected officials in the 'City of Roses' condemned the police, defunded law enforcement and coddled violent criminals in the name of 'anti-fascism' and 'anti-racism.' Now it's dealing with yet another year of surging murders, shootings, riots, homeless encampments, mass looting and violent criminality. In early December, the Portland Police Bureau announced that it would only be responding to the most serious 911 calls involving life or death scenarios.

Wheeler (and Durkan, Breed, Bowser, Garcetti, Lightfoot) thought it was in their best interest to placate the anarchists. To be their friends. They were not smart enough to know that the anarchists hated them too. Morons.
So many mayors and governors sat back and allowed rioters, looters, vandals, and arsonists run wild thru their cities and states in hopes that Trump would be defeated because of it. Now, some of them are yelling for help to stem the storm that they encouraged. Lightfoot is calling for DoJ help in her city, but rejected DoJ help when offered it by Trump.

Nope! It's a plan to federalize police powers. Beetlejuice in Chicago is now asking for the feds to fix her problem and the other blue cities will fall right in line. Obama's brownshirts will be the go to, "solution" just like COVID will result in nationalized healthcare.
What I heard is that Portland used to be a nice city before the hostile take over by BLM/ANTIFA.
A lot of us knew they wouldn’t be able to put the genie back in the bottle. They would have to become conservatives. Tough on crime liberals are jokes.
