Five people were arrested hours after Pennsylvania Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon (D-5th District) was carjacked at gunpoint in South Philadelphia.
Scanlon, 62, was walking back to her parked car, an Acura MDX, at FDR Park around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday when she was approached by two armed men who demanded that she hand over her keys and other belongings, including her personal cell phone, federal cell phone and ID.

I wonder if they would have made an arrest if she had not been a member of Congress?
If she’s not just virtue signaling, she should demand that the carjacker be released without bail or even charges. She should immediately apologize for being white.

Could get her a lot of votes! Maybe she'll do it. I bet her staff is analyzing that option, with input from the White House.
Every other carjack victim should be royally po’ed that they don’t get the same level of action. That said, they cops have to link the perps to the car jacking and not just the possession.
Hopefully these five are released without bail.

Is there any more detailed description of the suspects than this or is it racist to ask? What about the five who were in that car when it was found? Any id or description?

Exactly. Think of all the non-white car robbery victims in Philadelphia who never saw justice and who now witness the police pull out all the stops to find the criminals who dared rob a politician at gunpoint.
Clearly they were “teens”, and since they’re underage, it’s illegal to release any details about them. (Or so they’d have you believe).

That’s a joke right? How many gun related crimes in Philly will happen today, how many arrests will happen? What is the murder/solved rate there? I suspect that had it been a Republican there would have been no arrests, or BLM out protesting because someone was arrested. The entire system has become corrupt, this is just another reminder of differential justice, based upon political affiliation.
