Allowing politicians to vote their conscience would undoubtedly “destroy our democracy”.

I would not be surprised to see them go after his daughter the pharma CEO.

Democratic aides say that Manchin can expect more tough treatment from Schumer and other Democratic lawmakers who are now under new pressure from the party’s base for failing to deliver on the “big, bold” agenda they promised earlier this year.

If they’re stupid enough, and it’s not easy to outpace the Stupid Party, but possible, the Dems could drive Manchin to a FU moment where he flips party affiliation.

The description of how they handled him seemed downright rude. Very “New York.” Also, they’re pushing too hard for too much.

They’d better hurry up and coerce, then. Their control days are numbered.....by my count 1/3 of the Senate and ALL of the House comes up for reelection VERY soon - like in 11 months (Tuesday, November 8th). They are going to lose both.

I guess extortion isn’t much of a crime anymore.

That will go over well with the citizens whom he represents. They have been badly insulted by various Dem wags since Sunday, non-stop.

After this, Manchin can probably be elected Senator there until he falls over from old age.

So - screw ‘em.

The global new world odor depends upon all the Schwab acolytes passing 6uild6ack6etter in their respective countries, so yes, I would imagine that the deep state will kidnap Manchin and his family, put guns to their heads and give the Senator one last ultimatum.

I’m surprised they don’t just count his no vote as a yes vote, and arrest anyone that questions it

If the Dems get annihilated in 2022, as predicted, they'll blame Manchin for the massive defeat at the polls. They're that delusional.

I believe he noted in these gimmees that they already exist through the states...and are just duplications. And if they don’t...tell your state legislature.

Democrats are threatening to drive a wedge between Manchin and his many lower-income constituents who stand to reap billions of dollars in federal benefits if Build Back Better passes, including an enhanced child tax credit, lower Medicare-negotiated prescription drug prices and subsidies to cover the cost of child care.

They have already started. Sources said yesterday that Manchin is against the Child Tax Credit because people will just use it for drugs, and against the Family Leave provisions because people in West Virginia will fake illness to go deer hunting. It's only going to get worse.

I believe the Dems are now using Manchin as an example to the rest of the Dems of what will happen to if they step out of line.

Again, Biden lost every single county in West Virginia. What are the Democrats going to do - primary him? They going to run somebody to the Left of him in a state that already detests Democrats?

BTW....what happens if they piss him off enough for him to switch parties? When the Senate is divided 50/50 you really don’t have any leverage.

Chuckie had better stick a sock in it or he’ll find himself out of a job as Senate Majority Leader.
