If the Dems get annihilated in 2022, as predicted, they'll blame Manchin for the massive defeat at the polls. They're that delusional.

Understood. We are definitely a republic.
But the point is that any time anyone stands up and tries to block the Democrats from installing a communist dictatorship, the Democrats accuse that person of “destroying our democracy”.

Whenever I hear “our democracy”, it sounds like “this thing of ours”.

I believe he noted in these gimmees that they already exist through the states...and are just duplications. And if they don’t...tell your state legislature.
To: RandFan
Democrats are threatening to drive a wedge between Manchin and his many lower-income constituents who stand to reap billions of dollars in federal benefits if Build Back Better passes, including an enhanced child tax credit, lower Medicare-negotiated prescription drug prices and subsidies to cover the cost of child care. They have already started. Sources said yesterday that Manchin is against the Child Tax Credit because people will just use it for drugs, and against the Family Leave provisions because people in West Virginia will fake illness to go deer hunting. It's only going to get worse.
To: RandFan
I believe the Dems are now using Manchin as an example to the rest of the Dems of what will happen to if they step out of line.

Again, Biden lost every single county in West Virginia. What are the Democrats going to do - primary him? They going to run somebody to the Left of him in a state that already detests Democrats?
BTW....what happens if they piss him off enough for him to switch parties? When the Senate is divided 50/50 you really don’t have any leverage.

At the rate they are going Biden is going to go on the books as one of the most spectacularly succesful Presidents ever from a legislative perspective. Trillions upon trillions for horrible leftist wishlist items that only could only dream about up until now ... all passed. If he gets this build back better thing it will be pushing $10,000,000,000,000 in new spending this guy has gotten from his congress.
Mock him as a disaster but in the meantime he and his party with lots of GOP help whenever they need it are going full communist and getting stuff done, bad stuff, America ending stuff. But still, getting it done.

Chuckie had better stick a sock in it or he’ll find himself out of a job as Senate Majority Leader.

I would like to see Elon Musk make a million dollar donation to Manchin in the name of Elizabeth Warren.

I remember Hillary went to coal country (in think in Ohio) and talked about the Government destroying their industries; however, the Government has these great welfare programs. The voters did not go for the offer.

They're driving him right out of the party. They don't go back in session until JaN 6TH.
And while we verbally attack Romney, Collins and Murkowski...we still let them have their say.
The Dems are much more vicious....unbelievably vicious.
I believe he will leave the party....very, very soon.

I can imagine Chuck You has some pretty nasty torpedoes.

All they have now is revenge and that's an ugly look. Granted the Democrats have been doubling down on ugly daily for the last 5 years.
To: RandFan
Change parties. Take Schumer out.
To: Hurricane Andrew
He wouldn’t be the first Senator who changed parties.
To: FLT-bird
Manchin doesn’t have to switch parties, simply declare independent and non affiliated. Dems 49, pubs 50, Manchin 1.....
