After reading about this I believe the guy will never be convicted of anything.   It says she was on a bondage dating website called "Kink" where she agreed to meet him.   She then said the relationship later became non-consensual.   All the defense will do is get her to confess that she wanted to be dominated and raped as a fantasy and the case against him crumbles into dust.   I suspect sometimes answering adds is not like "pina coladas and getting caught in the rain."

I don’t think she suffered any legal consequences—she was obviously an innocent victim of someone who must have been mentally ill. I think she was a high school student. Her father was my colleague at a university where I had a one-year position.
