A Maryland school district on Friday announced that its school system will temporarily be returning to virtual learning amid a surge of COVID-19 cases.
In a note to the county's school community, Prince George’s County Public Schools CEO Monica Goldson said that schools will be returning to remote learning beginning on Monday.
Goldson noted that after students return from winter break on Jan. 3, schools will continue virtual learning until mid-January, with students returning to the classroom on Jan. 18. Students participating in a virtual learning program for those in kindergarten through sixth grade will return to in-person instruction on Jan. 31.

Wow. And ours, Howard, just eased up a tiny bit after freak-out the other day.
I don’t think anything is virtual. But they made sure first to cancel any extracurricular activities - until they eased up today.
We’re really pious liberals around here. But maybe not as scared as PG.

Oh, goody. It’s frickin’ Omicron (or Omnicron). It’s like a bad cold so far, except for one possible death in the UK. Just let it burn through the population so that we all have natural immunity, rather than just the selective immunity from the “vaccines!”

I am so glad I no longer have kids in school.
A total, ridiculous disaster. I’ve worked with several PGCPS students who are vaccinated and had the covid twice — while under lockdown. None that I know have contracted the Wuhan while in school.
There’s something else going on here, and it is entirely political.
OK, when student’s sit down for learning a parent ought to pull up a chair and sit down right next to them, with a camera, and tape what the teacher is teaching. If we started a movement to do that this would stop quickly. Also we need cameras in every classroom so parents can “tune in” whenever they want.
I knew this was coming. The vaccine was a big lie. Not because of its efficacy, but because we were told everything would return to normal. Of course the bureaucrats must do the bidding of the teacher’s unions so the science does not matter anymore.
The only solution is for parents to revolt and eliminate public schools.
