According to a Nov. 19, 2021 report, "an Egyptian court sentenced an 80-year-old-intellectual earlier this week to five years in prison over his remarks on the early Islamic conquests." Ahmed Abdu' Maher, a high-profile lawyer, expert on Islam, and author of fourteen books on Islamic history and jurisprudence, was found guilty of "contempt of Islam, stirring up sectarian strife and posing a threat to the national unity."
One of Maher's chief "crimes" is his view on the seventh- and eighth-century Arab conquests — a view based on a close and correct reading of both Muslim and non-Muslim sources: that Arabs conquerors invaded non-Muslim regions — specifically the Middle East, North Africa, and Spain — and engaged in atrocity after atrocity; that, while "spreading Islam" was the motive Islamic later historiography attributed to the Arabs, their true actions belied a lust for rape and rapine; and that they overthrew and supplanted much more advanced societies, to the region's lasting regret.
Put differently, Maher's views are identical to those presented in Sword and Scimitar: Fourteen Centuries of War between Islam and the West, particularly its first three chapters, which focus on the early Arab conquests. As the Nov. 19 report continues:
Maher claimed in many of his speeches, writings, and TV appearances, that the early Islamic conquests were "military invasions", and called on Egypt's top Islamic institution — Al-Azhar — to apologise on behalf of the Prophet Muhammad's companions who led the raids. According to Maher, those "invasions aimed to enslave women rather than spread Islam" around the world.Maher's position naturally goes counter to the mainstream Islamic presentation of the early Arab conquests, which are referred to as futuhat — literally, "openings" for the light of Islam to enter (or fatah in the singular,

God is great, baby
Surprisingly similar to questioning the Democrat party history!
They get really upset when you characterize the KKK as the paramilitary arm of the Democrat party.
“and engaged in atrocity after atrocity; that, while “spreading Islam” was the motive Islamic later historiography attributed to the Arabs, their true actions belied a lust for rape and rapine; and that they overthrew and supplanted much more advanced societies, to the region’s lasting regret.”
Only when Christendom decided to bare its teeth at Tours in 732 was the Muslim advance halted in Europe. “Buy Swords..”, the good shepherd said,”after I’m gone”.
islam is a totalitarian death cult founded by a child rapist.
Nearly all Ameriican/Eurpoean women have no clue.
They’ll gladly submit. Already have.
Sure is. They both lie incessantly and misrepresent their history and intent.
Not quite...
Yeah I was paraphrasing the verse a little bit. (busted!) But I was generally thinking along the same lines as you have posted.!
Christians sometimes get caught in this kind of pacifist paralysis. Sure we need to be prepared to turn the other cheek and to sometimes die for the faith. Yet in terms of defending our homes, families, children, and our nations against such monstrous Islamic evil....buy swords! Pursue peace as much as possible but when it is not possible...bare your teeth and make your faces like flints!
Seeing the monstrous sexual evil in education the California government is trying to foist on children in that state is becoming another flash point that I think we can no longer abide with.
Hebrew midwives feared God and refused to follow Pharoah’s command to kill the male children at birth. There are divides that troubled populations can reach where conflicts do and must break out. For the sake of moral justice and the saving of families with children, these conflicts must take place.
Bkmk
It's to be expected, as there are SO many verses that appear to preach BOTH sides of so many different subjects!
For the sake of moral justice and the saving of families with children, these conflicts must take place.
Matthew 10:34–36 English Standard Version
34 “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
35 For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
36 And a person’s enemies will be those of his own household.
Well a case can be made for defense of family, children and loved ones against marauders and against those who pervert public morality and justice. Noah built a boat but the Bible doesn’t say how he withstood the uberviolent world and its pressures upon him in his day. God may have protected him by having the world see him as being just crazy but edgy and “swordzy” enough that most would have avoided him...who knows.
Islam was stopped in Europe in 732, 100 years after its founding but there would still be back and forths over Europe for 8 centuries. Christendom had to brandish the sword and learn to use it. Excesses occurred as they would where humans and sin are involved but force was necessary.
We are certainly seeing some of that in America...a lot of divided households right now.
