Rittenhouse to speak at Turning Point USA event

Kyle Rittenhouse is set to speak at the conservative Turning Point USA conference starting on Saturday.

"There's a lot of people that want to hear what he has to say and there's a tremendous amount of interest," Turning Point spokesman Andrew Kolvet said, AZ Central reported.

"You know, he didn't ask for it, but he became this cultural symbol, a touch point of self-defense. He got thrust into that, and he has a story to tell,” he added.

Concerned for him doing all these media / public appearances so soon. He’s very young and went through quite an ordeal. It may have been best to have taken time completely out of the spotlight to recuperate psychologically and get his life back together before doing things like this and staying the spotlight.

Ditto that. If he MUST go into the public speaking arena, I hope his lawyers review all his speeches beforehand.

However, he still has public sympathy, and if he makes some verbal slip-ups or if he's perceived as profiteering right off the bat (free speeches or not, the uniformed won't know which) it could have a big negative effect on his lawsuits.

Na. Not biting. His case was 100% self defense and he was 100% innocent. He is also very naive and not seasoned enough to handle this limelight. While his presence at the riot was completely legal it wasn’t the most intelligent action he could have taken. At some point he will say something wrong or do some silly and get pounded. Were I him I would drastically limit if no eliminate altogether any public outings or displays until 3 or 4 of my lawsuits were settled. To much at stake.

Not only that, they are really out to get this kid. The press will try to trick him and make him out to be the worst racist ever.
