WALNUT CREEK, Calif. (KGO) -- All three suspects arrested in a Walnut Creek Nordstrom flash-mob style theft are out of custody, and the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office says two of them shouldn't be.
There's now a parole hold and bench warrant out for Dana Dawson's arrest after she didn't show up for court this past Friday.
Walnut Creek Police arrested Dawson, who prosecutors say had a gun, following the November Nordstrom theft. She was in violation of her parole, but the department's police chief has said the arresting officers didn't know Dawson was on parole. Chief Jamie Knox has repeatedly said he doesn't know why Dawson's name didn't come up in a national database. Subsequently, Dawson was eligible for and posted bail.
I think they deserve a sternly worded letter!

A felon out on parole using a gun in a crime was bailed? I don’t get it.
Maybe she's also a BLM crisis actor, so FBI trying to keep her record clear.
Unusually bail is still allowed so long as the criminal is not an active threat or the crime isn’t considered capital enough. (EG Rittenhouse) But usually the bail is set commensurate with the crime. That used to be true until last summer when those poor poor people who held up gas stations and robbed people couldn’t afford their bail like rich people could.
I believe California is now at the tipping pointing may actually be to far gone for the locals to fix via elections. This story is unbelievable in the stupidity of local LE and citizens.

What did/do liberals expect to happen when they won all elected offices in California? Do they really believe it would be all hugs and the down trodden would be able to have a job and pull themselves up? It is hard for me to believe that so many elected people could be this misinformed.

All three should be sitting in jail and off the streets awaiting their trial and subsequent prison term. Light bails and slaps on the wrists is why crime is ramping up.
A thousand dollar bail? Would you accept a brand new iPad?
