More than 800,000 Americans have now died from the coronavirus – another grim pandemic milestone reached Tuesday as the country remains on edge over the new Omicron variant.
The mark coincides with the end of a year that began in the US with a COVID-19 death toll of about 350,000.
Over the same period of time the country has also experienced a roller coaster of emotions as optimism reigned with the rollout of vaccines, but fear lingered with the emergence of the Delta and Omicron variants.
Many communities lifted mask mandates last spring when the number of cases dropped, only to reinstate them when the numbers ticked up again.

According to the “official” count, this is about the correct percentage. The response from the mRNA enthusiasts and apologists is to question and mock anything, but not respond to this simple arithmetic fact. Fortune does indeed favor the brave. I only add that the above percentage is across almost two years.

At one point early in the pandemic CDC guidelines allowed, even encouraged, reporting covid fatalities based on a mere presumption of infection. No positive test result was required. As far as I know, those reporting guidelines and the accompanying financial incentives for over-reporting are still in place.
800,000 deaths have been attributed to covid. The actual number of people that even had covid when they died is lower. The number of people who died where covid was a significant contributing factor will be lower still. The number where covid was the primary cause of death in an otherwise healthy person will be even lower.
Big numbers sell headlines and support the fear message so... Can't wait for the million mark, the MSM will make it look like new years.

The NIH pubmed site published a paper of a study done in Dec 2020. The researchers reviewed death certificates and concluded 5.5 - 6% of those death certificates listing the KungFlu as primary cause of death were true. I doubt the rate has changed much, given the incentives that are still in place.
