President Biden on Tuesday urged Congress to act on gun violence prevention in remarks commemorating the ninth anniversary of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.
“As a nation, we owe all these families more than our prayers. We owe them action,” Biden said in a video message released by the White House.
He said the Senate needed to quickly pass three House-passed bills, one to extend background checks, another to keep guns out of the hands of abusers and his Build Back Better act that includes a $5 billion investment in community violence prevention and intervention.

Reminder, it was Senator Joe Biden’s sponsored “gun free zone” legislation that created schools as target rich environments where citizens are not allowed to fight back.

Don’t even need a law, just make another OSHA mandate.

” When a black person is holding the gun, it's called “gun violence.” When a white person is holding the gun, it's called “white rage” or “white supremacy” or “domestic terrorism.” When they say “gun violence” they mean violence by blacks. They still believe that the citizens haven't figured this out.

Adam Lanza stole his mother’s guns (which was against the law), and then killed her with them (which was against the law). Next he transported these loaded guns onto school property and inside the building (which was against the law). He discharged the weapons within the city limits (which was against the law), and murdered 26 people (which was against the law). Finally, Mr. Lanza committed suicide (which was against the law).
Evidently this pattern of lawlessness is not unique. The Clinton Administration commissioned a National Science Foundation study that could not find a positive correlation between gun control laws and other measures for controlling murders after consulting 400 sources and doing its own research. The Center for Disease Control, which habitually considers guns comparable to viruses or bacilli, conducted a review of 50 studies. It found no positive benefit from laws concerning bans, restrictions, waiting periods, registration, licensing, or concealed carry. Both studies encompassed the period when the assault weapons ban was in place.
However, such rationality would probably not intrude upon the passionate asymmetrical marketing of the Sandy Hook Elementary tragedy. Hollywood style theatrics fabricate the emotional cover necessary to drive deferred political agendas unrelated to enhancing safety or curbing criminality.

“Today we begin to disarm the criminal and the careless and the insane. All of our people who are deeply concerned in this country about law and order should hail this day.”-— Lyndon Johnson signing the 1968 gun control act into law.
Thanks for posting this.. Lib-turds forget the “gun problem” has already been taken care of. LOL.
I think it’s funny that LBJ’s career benefited from guns (small ones and big ones) until he abandoned our troops while they were still in Vietnam, and went back to stick his head in the sand.

The money sentence: 5 billion dollars for community violence prevention and intervention. What would that look like? Maybe 250 million to each of the nation’s twenty largest inner cities to fund drug purchases, gang enrichment, gun range training for gang shooters? Pretty vague allocation of 5 billion dollars!

Rape is NOT penis violence.
Burglary is NOT crowbar violence
Murder is NOT gun violence.
ALL THE ABOVE ARE FORMS OF CRIMINAL VIOLENCE.
