One out of every 100 American seniors has died from Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic according to a report from The New York Times.

I told you i have a mental block when it comes to math- for some reason, i saw the 2 million number as 2 thousand, thinking it was 2000+ out of 100,000- uggh-
It took me 2 years of PRE Algebra- to learn that i could not do it- and the weird thing is- i have a semi photographic memory- i can picture in my mind a page, the paragraphs, even sentences- days after i read something- even months after in some cases (If i’m really interested in a subject) but math? uh uh! no can do well
lol- Yep- they claim every death is ‘from covid’ - they have lied to us through this whole thing- Some country though came clean and revised their figures down massively- citing hte fact that they overstated and counted people WITH covid as dying FROM Covid, when they shouldn’t have stated that- Wish our country would be as honest- the numbers would drop dramatically-
don’t sweat over the maths. what is obscene is how Andrew Cuomo got brought down by metoo garbage, and not because he sent the hospitalized covid elderly back into nursing homes. equally, there’s no outrage over other Dem governors who did the same.

It’s possible. Remember only 1/6 of the population has had a case of covid.
We know 1.6% of US coronavirus cases have died. And that seniors are more heavily weighted so should be significantly greater than 1.6%. But that is only if they catch coronavirus.
There’s been 51 million cases but the population is 320 million. So a little less than 1/6 of the population has gotten covid.
So let’s assume the fatality case rate among seniors is 6%, but only 1/6 of seniors have gotten covid, so that would be 1% of seniors dead.
I researched the picture and found it was Andrew Cuomo.
In that scenario covid is undoubtedly the reason for your untimely demise: had you not had covid, you wouldn’t have visited the doctor about it, so you wouldn’t have been crossing the train tracks afterwards, where your covid-addled brain failed to move you out of the train’s way.
All deaths lead to covid.

I don’t believe they died from covid. Here in PA. Harrisburg was counting elder home deaths twice for months. At the facility they were at and also at the hospital so right from the get go the numbers were construed. Then when hospitals knew they would obtain funds for covid deaths then every senior was attributed a covid death regardless if cause of death or other underlying ailment.
I'd love to know their age ranges because if one is throwing a 60 yro in with 95 yro's its like apples and oranges....

Normal 80+ mortality is like 12% or 1% per month, so with all that aggressive characterization of everything as COVID, they still only managed to blame one death in 20 on it, in the most vulnerable segment of the population?? (if we assume the pandemic duration so far as 20 mos)

Well, we know Italy certainly did its part in senior genocide very early on in this ‘pandemic’ with their very early conscious decision to NOT TREAT OLD PEOPLE and call that ‘triage.’
The other significant contributor to that is Mario Cuomo who figured out his own little death camp idea. Make hospitals send senior infecteds to live with uninfected seniors in nursing homes. Early reports were 12,000 died because of this. Later reports peg it on upwards near 25,000.

For background and context...
In 2019, an average year - before Covid - about 0.87% of the total USA population died.
2.85 million Americans died in 2019.
The total USA population was 328.2 million in 2019.
There were 54.1 million Americans age 65+ in 2019.
In a typical year, about 4% of American seniors die.
So, according to the New York Times - in 2020 and 2021 - about 4.5% of American seniors died - from ALL causes.
Between 2013 and 2019 - before Covid - the average number of USA deaths increased about 35,000 per year.
In 2020 - the first year of Covid - there was a HUGE increase in USA deaths - almost 600,000 more deaths.
In 2020, USA total deaths were 3.43 million.
In 2021, USA total deaths will also be close to 3.4 million.
As I write this, the Johns Hopkins dashboard says almost 800,000 Americans have died from Covid.
That would equal about 600,000 total Covid deaths for the 65+ age group.
One HUGE argument still needs to be settled...
Did those 600,000 USA seniors die WITH Covid?
Or, did they die BECAUSE of Covid?
