One out of every 100 American seniors has died from Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic according to a report from The New York Times.

Okay, so what is the normal death rate for seniors per capita per year, are all deaths with Covid “Covid deaths” (and are deaths with vaccines “vaccine deaths”?), it seems like the flu has in the last year gone poof … and the Covid tests will detect other corona viruses … so what is the senior mortality rate per year from a bad flu? Other questions like that there.
im not good at math- but the normal death rate for seniors is 2,117,332; Deaths per 100,000 population
not sure what that would work out to for deaths per 100 like in the times report
Wow
what we need to know is- has the number risen from 2,117,332; Deaths per 100,000 population since the pandemic?
Did you leave off a few zeros?
also- would 2,117,332; Deaths per 100,000 population of elderly be 2 deaths per 100 seniors per year? If So- are they claiming the number is now 3 deaths per 100 seniors because of the ‘additional 1 per 100 that they claim dies from covid’?
(Again- math was not my subject i n school- mental block when it comes to math)
nope- copied it from a search result- unless they are wrong?
You and me both. I figure my mpg with my iPhone. 🤫
Number of deaths of persons age 65 and over: 2,117,332
Deaths per 100,000 population:
65-74: 1,764.6
75-84: 4,308.3
85 and over: 13,228.6

i wouldn’t even know how to put in the figures on a phone for mpg- I surely was never destined to be a gambler or stock market pro lol=-
In a normal year (non-Covid)....the average number of deaths (all-ages) is around 20k. There are exceptional years, but I use the term ‘average’.
So from this (using 2019 data), out of the 20,342 who were certified dead because of the flu...11,945 were 65 or older (figure almost 60-percent). From the age group of 5-to-17, there were only 139 in this group.
Secondary issues involved? Well....you can’t drill down into that type of data but I would make an assumption that half of all these deaths involved a person whose immune system was weakened by something else other than the flu.
Just for some context, from this site: https://www.finder.com/life-insurance/odds-of-dying
Your odds of dying within 1 year, (total, from anything):
if you’re 65, female 1.0%
if you’re 65, male: 1.6%
if you’re 70, female: 1.5%
if you’re 70, male: 2.3%
(and as you look at higher ages, the odds understandably get greater and greater)
You have adequately demonstrated that math is not your subject! :)
Your data stipulates that out of 100,000 people, 2,000,000 die. This is just not possible!
Now I’m wondering with it or from it? (Covid. I mean). I’ve had a stent put in my heart, prostate cancer, exposure to radiation, asbestos, smoked till I was 48, and I’m 70. If I was to test positive and leave my doctors office and get hit by a train did I die of covid. So many questions, so little time. Shat. 😀
Shall we nail a foot to the floor and spin in circles?
How many Senators have died in the past not of Covid?
